I remember wishing so badly they’d just take the blow and lower prices on the memory cards to goose sales of the system, the games etc so my vita would get more cool shit to play. alas, they gave up like weaklings!

That success has even sparked a new debate about how maybe Cyberpunk 2077 was perfect all along.

Translation: we saw how much you people were willing to pay for these cards on the secondhand market and we want a piece of that.

We play games similarly! I like that term, semi-completionist, that’s exactly me. I’ll do *most* optional things if they’re fun, I’ll do story sidequests but not repetitive stuff, etc. so I don’t usually 100% a game but I definitely do far more than just strictly the main story. Thus my times are always longer than

That is awesome to hear.

oh man, that might be the lesser of the two evil song changes but I still don’t dig it. yub nub is such a humble, chill way to end the movie!

yeah I’m almost 40, I’ve lived through so many changes to those movies - it’s just a shame that there’s no legal way to get the originals and there hasn’t been for a long time. I just keep my torrents close by until that changes lol

I love Jedi too, especially the original (can’t stand those fucking editions disney sells)!

Great example of a series that should’ve stopped at 2!

Honestly, duologies are often better than trilogies. Alien and Terminator franchises show exactly what happens when you don’t quit after a definitive second chapter.

mostly a joyless slog that replicated the western tendency to depict Asian men as devoid of any individualism or human appeal”

If the switch version can’t even achieve 60fps that will be a huge shame (thinking about those 25 years..) because for sure it seems like the platform I’d prefer to play on too.

When does one become an adult, then? This is a psychotic viewpoint.

It’s so weird how puritanical, traditionally right wing views like this have come full circle.

I know at least that a pc game rendered at 4k has far less aliasing than when I set the game at 1440p - but in this case I wonder if the ps5 is still gonna render the game internally at 4k and then output a 1440 signal, which seems likely. Testing tonight!

I’d been chomping at the bit for a 1440p option and then I realized last month that my new 1440p gaming monitor (gigabyte M27Q) will actually take a full 4k input and then downscale it so it looks fantastic anyway. NOW I’m curious if 1440p mode will look better or worse on that monitor!

Also, for the small but dedicated group of people playing their PS5 on 1440p gaming monitors, it’s nice that they can finally take full advantage of the setup.

The weird repeated insistence that this game is so horribly brutal and hard to endure is honestly weird here. I don’t know if it’s this particular writer or just kotaku’s general angle on TLOU ever since the second game kickstarted an internet war, but it just comes across hilariously pearl-clutching. I mean, this is

compared to me (and I worry that I’m too online) you sound like you’re way, way further down the rabbit hole I’m sorry to say

I feel sorry for your students.
