As an airline employee of more than 30 years I can tell you passengers purchasing extra seats are fairly common. One thing to note is, as only one of the seats purchased is occupied by a person - the second seat should be charged at the base fare only and no taxes applied. Any airport surcharges may be applied but not

I was wondering when someone would suggest this. Yes, its true - if your coffee is bitter, a sprinkling of salt usually mellows it out. I drink my coffee black from a French press. I previously added creamer to take the bitter edge off - now - after being advised by an Italian woman at my work - with just a pinch of

Old trick from schooldays - have a cup of water at hand - then make a loud sneezing noise while sprinkling the offending back-leaner with a fine mist. That should work.

Make that months not weeks.

Or figs (can open - worms everywhere).

Yeah I don’t get it; unless the meaning of ‘Just’ here is ‘righteous’ or ‘virtuous’ - even that is a bit of a stretch.  It’s particularly odd because their Just Mayo is actually an excellent product - maybe that should have been called Nayo.

Throw it away? No way! I like a head on my beer.

Can we please have separate ‘depts’ at Lifehacker for veg and non veg articles. Its just seems that, whenever an article about plant-based food is sprinted, the flame wars begin in the comments section and genuine discussion is impossible.

THIS! I was more than a year into my new job when I discovered I could do this - it has changed my outlook completely - I am about 7 years away from retirement and this allows me to add about $25,000 per year to the tax-free side of my nest-egg which my previous job did not do.

When I ate dairy, I used to put plain yoghurt in a coffee filter and leave it in the fridge draining overnight - next morning - Greek yoghurt.

The only time I ever heard that word growing up in Glasgow was in the phrase ‘niggardly Scot’ on UK tv or radio. Whenever I hear that word now here in the U.S. (which is rare I’ll grant you), I instinctively expect it to be followed by Scot.

Amazing how any vegan or vegetarian related threads bring out these obnoxious fuck-heads who think they are brilliantly original and funny.

I never eat out anyway so I’m unlikely to encounter that, however I am constantly reminded how low humans can go when I see them placing their sprogs in the upper section of supermarket trollies plopped down with their pudgy little legs sticking out the back and their be-shitted nether quarters firmly placed where I

As a former airline employee I can tell you that flying between JFK and LAX in a Qantas 747 is a real joy - not sure if they sell those flights I went as standby staff. Also flew as staff on JFK-BOS and JFK-YYZ routes on British Airways when they had multi-leg flights - they used 757s - less impressive than a jumbo.

Oh and all 4 seasons of Man Down (the English comedy) is still on there too - fantastic performance (among his last) by Rik Mayall as Greg Davies’ father - inspired casting - they even look a bit like each other. The ‘hand-job in front of the whole school’ scene with Mike Wozniak and Isy Suttie is just priceless.

Toast of London is really awesomely funny - “Hi, this is Clem H. Fandango can you hear me?”

Upgrade went fine but it installed this awful NEWS app in my dock which seems to be a device for forcing FOX News articles down my throat. Removed from the dock but cannot be removed from the Apps folder - anyone know how to completely remove it?

Where are private channels found on ROKU - I don’t see them on my smart TV, I don’t see them at ROKU TV and I don’t see them at the ROKU website.

Depends how long you have worked. I came to this country when I was 27 and started working a year later when I got my green card. So that means I won’t have 35 years of work (the number of years used in the calculation of your Social Security payments) until I am 62 - but if I retire at 62 that would also mean the
