The R129 was largely derived from the W124 platform, and as such makes for a great topless, two-seater GT car, but not such a great sports car.

Some of it is probably generational. When I think of “Supra” these initially come to mind (and were hardly supercar material):
I hope you are being facetious. It would be pretty ridiculous to suggest that there will have been no progress between the e46 and this Toyota, because they [hypothetically] have similar power to weight ratios. There’s also the torque and HP curves, handling, getting power to the ground, balance, driver feedback, et…

He was sent back in time from a nightmarish dystopian future to disrupt the events that led to the destruction of most of humanity.
I assume this included fuel.
Yeah, I would say that the horse/cart thing is unexplained, but not inexplicable. That could be owing to the choppy editing reference in the article.
This was my first (street) bike. I grew up riding dirt bikes and took the MSF course before I bought it brand new in 2007. I think it really depends on who you are and your level of experience. For me, the added peace of mind of having a bike that was well-sorted, with a 2 year factory warranty made it a no-brainer.
This COULD be the answer, if the question is, “I want a cheap car that I can spend an inordinate amount of money and time on. What should I buy?” Crap,
I’m getting suckered into it too. Nice price.
All of them.
I have been eyeing the U-Turn Orbit for a while. I am curious...other than aesthetics, is there a benefit to the acrylic platter over the standard MDF platter?
When one side bears the moral odium of calling for ethnic cleansing through genocide and forced migration, standing up against that notion is not an equivalent evil. The rhetoric and ideas these white-nationalists espouse are inherently violent.
This is amazing! Hope they put this show on the road and come to my neck o’ the woods someday!
Brilliant!
Empty .22 shell used in place of a fuse on my old Volvo once - probably lucky the car didn’t burn to the ground before I got to the shop to buy replacement fuses. Used a coat hanger, to hold the muffler in place on an ‘81 Corolla.
This is nearly half the price of other final-year 348 spiders on the market, which is a little suspicious. If you can afford regular $200 oil changes, and $5,000+ scheduled maintenance sessions, this is probably a “Nice Price” car. However, if you’re merely a “Thousandaire,” like me, it’s best to steer clear (even…
Well done!
That’s what I was seeing too, but Torch may be saying “no” on a technicality here since 200 series Volvos were made from 1974-1993 (not just in the “late 1970's).
Looks a bit Volvo-ish? 240?
...and yet those “sports cars” are more powerful, faster, safer and more efficient then ever before. Golden age! ;)
