This is as unfair as holding the Beastie Boys culpable for nu-metal.

There was a Discworld book where a character said that in the riddle “What goes on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three legs in the evening?”, the math doesn’t work out as far as the person’s age goes if you measure it by time of day.

Every show with women is Girls and bad, to me.

Any show with Carl Tart and Nicole Byer on it is a show I’m gonna be watching.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine director Phil Augusta Jackson and creator Dan Goor are back with the most millennial sounding show of all time. Grand Crew follows a group of young Black professionals who are all trying to navigate the ups and downs of life and love in Los Angeles.

It’s deeply flawed, but you can’t for second argue that Rent wasn’t massively influential on the Broadway musicals that followed.

The Neville and his parents moment is my favorite sequence in all of the books. It hits all the right emotional notes, and comes right around the time that you are learning that the prophecy could be about Neville instead of Harry and it just stays with you.

I’m not even sure if the films work when you DO know the books.  Prisoner is the only one I would go back and rewatch, the rest ranged from ‘wow that’s boring’ to ‘ok’.

The Half Blood Prince material was weird, because it really is kind of peripheral to the plot, but they couldn’t excise it entirely because “Half Blood Prince” is the title of the damn movie/book. So instead you have stuff like Shape randomly blurting out that he’s the “Half Blood Prince! before running away at the

Everything starting with Goblet of Fire on falls into the realm of “it made more sense in the books”.

Now here’s a man who doesn’t like to pay taxes! Or who simply loves rich people and wishes to protect them from the onerous burden of supporting the infrastructure that helped them get rich in the first place.

An argument can be made for not parsing the social messaging of films like this one too deeply, as the creative team probably didn’t.

They could with a year’s notice. Do any of you even know how movies work? Losing both of the only two actual protagonists of the BP series would end up a 5 year pause & reboot, based on the way the Feigeverse has worked.

You guys are too funny and all trying waaay too hard here and overthinking it.

Yeah, and the boxes were in his office? Seems pretty suspect. And I doubt Logan is much of a Nirvana fan

No. Logan is not clever like that. He rules by brute force. I don’t know why people want to ascribe these kind of sneaky, tricky ploys to him.

I’m pretty sure that security guy was the one who briefed Kendall about the cover up of his involvement in the waiter’s death.

“not being charismatic?”

He’s an actor playing a role, and presumably criticisms of his mannerisms and lack of charisma are directed at the character. Seems fair game to me, since all those should have been deliberate choices for the character and not just Schweighöfer being himself.
