Before this strategy switch, the only actual upcoming HBO drama announced as happening was the Dunk and Egg Game of Thrones spin-off.

I was just listening to Chumped’s cover of He’s A Rebel for the umpteenth time and hoping this would happen!
Looking at the comparison between Top Gun, Strange, and Dominion, it’s wild how steep Maverick’s curve is:
It wasn’t called “Go to White Castle” outside of the US, it was “Get the Munchies”.
The response from the global marketplace … continues to be positively overwhelming
Probably worth pointing out that that storyline where he wrestles Spidey isn’t just his debut, it’s the only time he’s ever appeared. The only reason people might recognize him is that the Mike Wieringo cover art to the first issue is really cool:
why Will Smith’s career is destroyed but not Ezra
The Flash, out June 23
The article implies these will only happen if the third movie gets made, so I assume part of the reason for them to announce them now is to get RDJ to finally make time to get that one done - “Hey, if you get this one movie filmed, you’ll get cushy ongoing paychecks for some spin-offs, and won’t have to do a thing!”
Looking forward to this, but I’ll also recommend people check out the excellent series Giri/Haji from a few years ago.
The document “signing over the rights” is worthless; everyone involved agrees that. From the THR article:
I watched the cinema re-releases of all three movies in the last week. The first one is great, the second is very good, and the third one is mostly weird (so much of it is spent on a real-life conspiracy theory about the death of Pope John Paul I!).
I do hope a future season covers Rose Cleveland, Grover’s lesbian sister, who was First Lady until he got married.
Not mentioned, but Reyn Doi is the kid from Barb and Star, and I wish him all the success in the world.
In a wild coincidence, Tom Breihan’s The Number Ones column literally today reached the Aladdin song.
They announced the show was ending a year before all the 9/11 stuff came out.
The timeline here confused me. I’d assumed the flashbacks took place right after RotJ, which is five years before The Mandalorian, but they caught up very quickly.
I’m worried they’re going to try to explain stuff, and that’s not going to go well.
Jimmy hasn’t shown up in the current season at all. It’s possible they pulled any episodes he was in to give them time to decide what to do.
It’s very easy to replace an actor in an animated movie.
