I don’t know how involved Iannucci will be, but the new Partridge special and series are supposed to be very Brexit-focused (the idea being that Alan was one of the few media figures who was pro-Brexit, so gets back on the BBC as a “voice of the common man.”) Iannucci tweeted about the first table read last week.

I’m really enjoying him on the current season of Taskmaster.

Yeah, I wouldn’t call things like The Armando Iannucci Shows political either. Satirical, sure, but much more general than being about politics.

Yeah, but Greta Gerwig would be stuck on a CBS sitcom. I love Tarver, but I wouldn’t give up her movies for his success.

His episode of Strictly Business is great too. I love that he was sure to point out his character’s name, Fichoff Whif, was the opposite of Elon Musk, because clearly nobody had gotten that joke.

I think Time Trumpet is the only thing he’s done that’s been SF-ish, but Time Trumpet was great.

I could be wrong, but I think from one of the trailers that Larroquette’s version is in a wheelchair, so is sitting down all the time.

You realise this is a new reviewer, right? He’s never given the show any grade before.

I didn’t realise it was Middleditch until he called someone a doy-doy, and then it was very obvious.
