That would be the point I made, yes.  Heh.

Saying it's "not really a Dragon Quest game" is like saying a balloon animal is "not really a ten story apartment building".

Kinda. You still saw remnants of that model into the post-war era. Company’s no longer owned everything in town. But as the major source of employment in a town they still held massive sway over the general affairs of some towns.

...as somebody who has been playing Pokemon since the beginning,

You don’t understand how fans would side with the person most responsible for making things they like... over a corporation...?

Moment of Surrender is their best post-Pop tune, I reckon. The melody is absolutely magnificent, and it’s got that slight improvisation quality about it thanks to Eno so it doesn’t sound overly polished. Breathe, Cedars, Unknown Caller are all also absolute tunes.

In my opinion, the live version of MoFo is the best U2 song there is; I wasn’t even a fan back then, but before PopMart Mexico City I had never seen a concert video that made me truly wish I had been there. I don’t get why everyone (the band especially) hates the album so much.

I’d actually argue some of the sound on Songs of Innocence is interesting and different territory for them - stuff like The Troubles sounds nothing like anything else in their catalogue and it’s great.

I personally loved Pop. It’s underrated and over-criticized. It is not my favorite album of theirs, however it’s actually really, really up there for me, and probably in part because they were stretching themselves. “Miami,” “If You Wear That Velvet Dress,” “Please,” and “Wake Up Dead Man” are four of my favorite

I think companies need to stop being shy about it.

25. Ninja GaidenNot terrible, but not quite as smooth as its successors. A lot of Ninja Gaiden’s difficulty comes more from imprecise controls and unfair enemy positioning than any sort of real challenge.

I loved that it was so long, my first play through felt like it was never going to end! Was so disappointed when I did. Second play through is still as fun, going around atm upgrading my brushes cause I never realised that was a thing you could even do! Love the little side quests... I guess the down side is it has...

guess we know where Konami’s social media money is going now

My grandfather used to have a funny sign in his garage, with a frog on it in a funny position. The caption read, “If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.”

Batman v Superman is the latter. It is not deep. It is not intelligent. It isn’t even coherent. It’s a travesty of poor writing, riddled

FM Towns had an awesome sound chip.

I’ve only played Yakuza 4, but I was sold on the series within an hour of it. Trust me, even if it doesn’t seem like your kind of game at all (certainly wasn’t mine), it’s worth checking out.
