I think it’s a shame this rogue-frenzy in indie development. Not every game is improved by being a rogue-like. That was an immediate turn down for me, in this case, even if this game looks pretty cool.

I’d like to SJ your A.

It’d really be worth it if their SNES remakes were included too.

Not really, as in not at all.

I think you’re missing something here: this wasn’t supposed to be an original new metroidvania game, this was supposed to be a new Castlevania game.

They own Hudson, so yeah.

Well, obviously Soul Blazer to complete the quintet trilogy. And Ys Book I&II. It has a lot of RPG elements - you need to upgrade your equipment and level up to progress - but once you get used to its bump combat system it’s a lot of fun, with fast paced action and great music.

I think the only specific person who looks bad in this story is Darth Söderlund, not that it’s going to make any difference to him. It seems like the initial project might have really brought a “totally new idea to fans”, not so much the finished game. Anyway, great article, Jason.

Come on, Heather. Let’s say you were writing on your twitter page about an article you wrote for Kotaku and a guy commented saying that it was a very interesting insight about the piece, but he thought that maybe focusing more on X or Y would have made the article better. Let’s say you responded by saying he was a

I don’t know if that’s a good list. Two games more associated with the PC (Overwatch and Rocket League) and a PS3 remaster...

I also don’t see Jack Daniels being made easily available to kids.

You should give No Line another try. Magnificent, Moment of Surrender, Unknown Caller, Breathe are all great songs that show U2 trying out different things.

It’s ok, but the PS4 Pro sold almost 4 times that.

Yeah, but how many people play RPGs only for their story?

So all of you guys who agree with Atlus would give up on playing an RPG you’re interested in if you could watch a stream of it? Or are you basing that opinion on how you assume other people are?

“it will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come.” This makes me think online. Maybe something like DC Universe Online.

Dunkey, perhaps the greatest genius of our time. Now, if Zero Punctuation gives a positive review, then we can call it a day.

Castlevania II, Super C, Double Dragon II and Ninja Gaiden at the bottom of the list? Sorry, but your taste sucks.

Nice to see Bethesda has’t lost their touch.

I think 40 hours is way too much for an adventure game. I love the game, but hated how it seemed to be building up for its conclusion and still be far from over after that. I prefer shorter games that make me want to replay it time and time again.
