I think the problem with Netflix is not putting their shoulder behind shows that have a following, like American Vandal and The Get Down. The latter might be understandable given the budget, but AV has gotta have been cheap to make.

Oh, also, and this amused me. Two of the baddies had Northern Irish accents. Not gonna lie, if we can supplant the Brits as the villain of choice it’s going to be huge for the local am-dram community. 

Like most Netflix action series, they draw out a six episode show to ten episodes with pointless conversation, exposition and conversation about the exposition.

I really hope they maintain the original intent and dynamics in this adaptation and don’t fall victim to the whitewashing that happens to reach a broader (read: western/American) audience
