I’m a Juneau Alaska filmmaker so it was exciting when they announced plans to film parts of this movie in Alaska. It was going to be in Whittier so my excitement died. It’s hundreds of miles away and too expensive to travel to just to be an extra or crew. My Anchorage filmmaker friends were still excited because

I was in contact on Facebook with a guy on the east coast that made a GT4 by welding in the GT4 floor into a regular GT. Some people weld mounts for the rear sub-frame then move the gas tank. Lots of crazy mods. I just bought a swapped engine Celica. it’s good enough.

My 3SGTE sets off car alarms idling. It’s really fun!

Now playing

I TOTALLY AGREE! I’m been questing after one of these for a long time. It’s hard enough to even find a 5th gen all-trac. The closest I’ve been able to get is my 1994 Celica GT with a 3rd Gen 3SGTE Swap. It’s not AWD but it has all the power and maybe a bit more as it only goes to the front wheels without the added

I love a good barn find! It looks really clean too! In 2008 I found a dusty moldy 1994 Toyota Celica under brush in my neighbor’s back yard and bought it for $300. It had been stolen and needed a new clutch and a few small parts but otherwise was perfect. Unfortunately in 2014 it was rear-ended by an evil pizza

True but my neighbors built up a collection of 15 broken cars and trash in their yard. It’s great to be able to do what on your property but good luck selling your house when it’s next to a junk yard.

Our current house in Juneau Alaska had its garage converted to an office and small half garage storage area by the previous owner. It was actually what sold me on the place because I needed a workshop area and a studio for my filmmaking. Now after years of working on cars out in the rain and snow I wish I’d found a

(See the puddle under the engine? not from the Blazer but I was briefly worried)

I have a 2002 two door Blazer but the problem is that it breaks down every few months. A nice vehicle if you can work on cars and don’t depend on it every day to get to work. The parts are plentiful and cheap. I really liked the Ford Bronco and the 94-03 two door Blazers looked kind of like a small modernized Bronco

I didn’t see any Toyotas in the video. I have a 1994 Toyota Celica that should have been represented at the show as it was redesigned that year. I also have a 2002 two door Chevy Blazer that’s mostly the same as the one in the video. Crap! I’m still living in the 90's!

I had one of the Stealth base models from 1992-93. It looked really cool but drove like a boat. I think the problem was it’s automatic transmission and soft worn out shocks. the engine was also hard to work on due to lack of room.  Compared to my Celica it was no fun to drive. Looked cool but it felt so big and

Cool! I always wanted one of these! I have a 1994 Celica GT with a swapped 3SGTE Turbo but it’s not a convertible. If you put in a turbo, the FWD doesn’t take away from the rush you feel when you hit the gas in 2nd or 3rd. I love having the “I’m gonna die!” feeling from my cars.

I have a 2002 4wd Blazer LS without the Corvette engine sadly. The good thing about these vehicles is that the body is galvanized and mine has hardly any rust after over 10 years living in rainy Juneau. I like the interior and the fact that it looks a bit like a smaller Ford Bronco. The roof rack is also really good.

wow! That’s exciting to watch! Celica Power!

My dad had this happen to him. He runs a charter boat in Ketchikan Alaska. One day, he was on his boat at the dock when one of these monster ships left the port with too much power. It caused huge waves tossing boats into each other. The small charter boat nearly capsized. He thought he was going to die! The cruise

my wife owned a 1993 version of this. The AWD was good in the winter and had nice visibility but the car was a mess. The engine only had about 60,000 miles on it but broke down constantly. It was difficult to work on. there wasn’t enough room to get wrenches where you needed them, etc.. . The car also leaked oil

Although the 1994-99 Celica GT-4 was never in production in the US, you can create your own front wheel drive version. Take a 6th Gen Toyota Celica, swap in a 260hp turbo charged 3SGTE engine and transmission from a Japanese MR2 or GT-4, swap the hood and bumper and you get a kick-ass Celica death machine! Sometimes a

Funny! I love your acting! I’ll bet the dealership doesn’t like it much. It’s tough to get parts for imported cars or cars with foreign engines. I have a 1994 Celica GT with a 3SGTE turbo engine swap from a Japanese Celica GT4. At parts stores and service departments I have to explain that although it is a Celica GT

I have a 1994 Celica that I got for $300!! I had to fix the clutch and a few other parts but It was a great car. If it hadn’t got rearended, I’d still be driving it. I replaced it with another 1994 Celica with a turbo (red hood).

but at least it’s not repairs on a Yugo. Much more fun to fix cars you care about.
