Black & white atomic horrors this weekend. First up was Robert Aldrich’s 1955 “Kiss Me Deadly.” It’s essentially “The Maltese Falcon” with a Pandora’s Box of glowing radioactive isotopes in place of the bird. Ralph Meeker (who bears an uncanny resemblance to Vic Morrow) plays a mean, misogynistic, and sadistic

I couldn’t see The New Mutants yet because cinemas are still closed in my state, so I marathonned The Owl House. I enjoyed it much more than this site’s reviewer. King is what CAOS’s Salem should’ve been!

Nice! Yeah, I’m not so sure that I’d go quite that far to do it, but I do like seeing some of those builds. Swapped engine? Now THAT sounds a fun ride.

but the ST185 was 100x prettier!

If it makes you feel better, ST205 GT-Four isn’t all that great as a stock road car. It’s really neither here nor there kind of a car.

I remember seeing one in Spain 22 years ago and saw it had a 4x4 badge on it. At first I thought it was just an idiotic afterthought but I guess it was the real deal.

just go find yourself a nice clean one now and buy it...the 94 models will be legal next year which means the price is gonna go ape shit and everyone will start snatching them up and importing them...

I stand by the fact that these were kind of underpowered, but yeah, I still thought they were awesome. They were cool cars when I was in high school. What I’d really want is a 2ZZ in the MR2 Spyder.

Always thought these were really cool. I’ve seen a few AWD swaps, but that’s about it, here in the States. Patiently waiting for these and the Stagea to become legal for import.

The 3S is such a great sounding engine. Square, steel block and a proper wide angle big valve head. Lovely.

I couldn’t agree more. And, the Celica that followed this generation was a further downgrade of the model. The tC was more of a successor to the ‘94 Celica than the tinny ‘00 model, and the current 86 should have been a Celica from the start.

I was kind of expecting this commercial.

Someone posted this on here recently, its fantastic. Just people hanging out in socal before the internet in 1989.

... and Dodge was still making trucks!

my wife owned a 1993 version of this. The AWD was good in the winter and had nice visibility but the car was a mess. The engine only had about 60,000 miles on it but broke down constantly. It was difficult to work on. there wasn’t enough room to get wrenches where you needed them, etc.. . The car also leaked oil

Funny story. Bear with me. Friends parents had one of these new. We used for flog the shit out of it in the snow it was a riot. So my buddy who owned it loved it, said it was like 300hp and called it the super wagon. Another buddy decided to burn him once. Submits an add to the local buy and sell magazine reading.

It fits. Now you know.
