As long as you replace them every 5 years. After support drops off for them, you’ll find more and more apps no longer working.
Woot is owned by Amazon. They basically send all of their overstock or refurbished products there. But this item is new, which sometimes they also sell.
these options should support CEC & most tv’s should have the capability as well. my apple tv does so it’s remote is all i need.
Oh don’t be such a limp wet blanket
My thoughts exactly. My commute is 150 miles total per week. Couldn’t imagine 90 each day.
I prefer to pay for content and have it ad-free. I will tolerate some content if ad-supported is the only way.
Like in many situations, it depends. My wife and I dipped our toes into the world of EV ownership back in Spring of 2016 after test driving our friend’s leased Fiat 500e. We looked into lease one for as low as $49/month, but the $1340/yr insurance was too much to swallow. Instead, we opted to buy a used…
I bought my first EV back in 2018. I have purchased two more since, one as an inexpensive city driver, and a replacement for than one when a better option became available.
I find the free shipping bit is something that deserves more attention. Most people just compare paid shipping to free 2-day Prime shipping as justification, but if you weren’t paying for Prime, you’d choose the free option every time. So it’s really only saving you time, not money. On top of that, if you live near…
Another major feature of wired, while definitely advanced lvl, is power over ethernet. If you want security cameras, you can run ‘only’ the ethernet cable and not need a power source for the cameras.
Dependability. My 96 year old Dad has a surprising number of internet connected things. There is no way he can troubleshoot any of it. He’s a clever man, a retired newspaper editor but WiFi is just SciFi to him. His multi story house has WiFi dead zones and I wasn’t taking any chances.
We still have cable TV. One box, with the DVR, is hardwired to the router. The other 2 are wifi connected. The one in our bedroom is literally 2 feet from the router, through a wall. It would constantly loose connection. There was already a small hole through the wall at the baseboard. So I ran an Ethernet cable…
Two reasons you missed. 1. A wired backhaul can better support a Mesh network compared to a wireless backhaul, thus improving the speed of the wireless network. 2. By moving devices to the wired network, especially devices that consume large amounts of bandwidth like video, it deconjests the wireless network, further…
You sort of glossed over the most important value of ethernet: connecting the WiFi APs to the internet source. Mesh networking is sloowwwwwww. People who aren’t technically inclined love it because it’s simple, and simple has a lot of value, but mesh inserts a ton of latency and throughput limitations in your network.…
And since the latest USB-C cables enable faster data and charging speeds than Lightning, iPhone 15 Pro models will support USB speed at up to 10 Gbps,
Right? 2 kids at the laundromat equals one of them sitting in it, while the other pushes them around.
Condensed milk and whipping cream are the base ingredients for “no churn” ice creams. Whip the cream, mix together the milk and your flavorings, then fold the milk mix into the whipped cream and freeze.
I picked this up from my mother. She grew up in the 1950s and 1960s. She used eat graham crackers with ribbons on whipped butter or schmears of cream cheese.
