This Britney thing is really starting to disturb me. There are so many voices, so many “friends” and “exes” and “insiders”.

This is a pretty half-baked version of the story. Was/is sexism rampant in Hollywood? Absolutely. And did she suffer more than most? Without a question.

Sadly once she wins a special legislative session will be held to strip the Governor position of its strongest power the same way it was done in NC and WI.

Good, she’s earned the right to pick that right a second time. And with Kemp likely looking at a primary challenge from someone like Collins it’s going to make it that much easier.

I still say that if she leans into her prison sentence and starts playing the villain in those films (or what passes for one) then she might even be able to turn the prison sentence into a bit of a career renaissance.

Meanwhile... a countless number of minorities across the country without the means to pay the small bail fee for minor misdemeanors are languishing in jail for months, if not longer, while awaiting their trial.

The thing is, what women like them go through in their middle ages could be interesting ground to cover, but there’s absolutely nothing in the latter part of the series or either of the movies to suggest they can figure out how to say those things.

I think it’s also fair to note that Meyers-Shyer probably wouldn’t have made any movies if her last name wasn’t Meyers-Shyer. Candace Bergen is one of those people who are/were so ridiculously good looking that it doesn’t seem fair that they’d also be incredibly intelligent and talented. (She is all three.)

So I know that the show is fiction, but I believe it, more or less. I mean, I remember all of the ‘80s and ‘90s royal drama and the scenarios posited by The Crown fit the narrative very very well.
