I am someone who only in the last 8-10yrs realized just how special Lotus is as a brand, even moreso in the age where very, very few new cars appeal to me, and even fewer offer a manual. Lotus has been the last bastion of a fading era, fighting against the forces of driving numbness and increasing weights. They’re stil

But, I can guarantee that the world of racing fans would totally give these two [Letterman, Seinfeld] a pass for, instead of politely declining, telling Brundle to fuck right off.

Did she “owe” anyone anything? Nope

caterham is making an electric 7.

We now live in a world where a 900hp CUV seems so redundant and boring that I can’t be bothered to finish the article.

Looks like every other CUV out there.

The proportions of this car are all kinds of weird, but I guess they’re also functional.

Wait until you get a load of health insurance, it’s basically set up to deny by default, then when you’ve paid your $5000 deductible on top of your $750 per month premium, they only cover 80% of costs. And 20% of say, a broken leg, could easily be another $7000.

Holy mobile browser pop-ups! I've had to close at least 15 just to read this article. I get ad revenue, but does it really need to be so aggressive that we can't even get through the article?

The insurance company is the house at the casino. They rig the game(s) so they make money. When they no longer win, they shut down the game or kick out the card counters.

Because I’m sure that unsupervised, they will raise rates only enough to cover increased costs.

Here’s a not so secret secret, insurance companies don’t want to cover anyone. That’s how they make money, by taking your money and giving you nothing in return, then when they do HAVE TO do something, they fight you for every penny hoping you give up. Then the next year they raise your rates because you dared to use

And NJ property tax is insane too! Plenty of middle-aged NYC-based pals have done the house hunting thing there looking for suburban bliss and cheaper land, only to find that any savings would be negated in less than a decade... and then you’d still be living in NJ w/astronomical property taxes.

Exactly. I have no problems with the BMW-Toyota, it’s just not a ‘Supra’. Supra always meant Japan’s response to the Euro GT elite; it’s like if the ‘90s Supra was a rebadged 6-cylinder 8 Series. It’d still be good, but can that be a Supra?

To me, the GR Supra seems like the best of both worlds: the soul of a BMW and the reliability of a Toyota.

The MKIV was cool because its robust engine says Toyota on it. Indications are the B58 is potentially even more robust than the 2JZ but of course they won’t accept that because it’s German and therefore unreliable.

I might get some hate for this one, but ALL Luxury brands... at least the more common ones like BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Cadillac, Acura, Infinity and such. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in a luxury brand that actually felt like it was worth the extra money over what is available from “more affordable” brands.

Just out of warranty, should go really well for someone.

Actually, they do waste by buying new, you are being very good at not wasting by driving a perfectly good used vehicle

The fact that they sold out for the first production year and they can’t build them fast enough means you’re in the minority.
