You left out the part of the story where they were going to give me one of those engines for my Fit.

It certainly sounds like one, I can’t imagine a twisted crank making that noise.
They’re a dime a dozen these days, I’m afraid.
Sundials! I wish we’d ‘ad sundials when we were young, we had to stare at the sun for hours to tell the time.
Analog clocks are not good, they’re a throwback to an earlier era to evoke a presumption of quality or status. Among the vast number of modern digital gee-gaws cars are laden with, analog clocks are out of place. They’re a status symbol above all else. I love an analog clock in a car when that’s the technology of the…
So, somehow Cadiallac has escaped you since the 1995 Rivera? On the other hand, I saw a ‘95ish DeVille with a contemporary Silverado step-side bed today, so Caddy ass-ends are pretty good by comparison.
The piston tops, valve seats and head will get the brunt of the damage. An event like this calls for an automatic disassembly of the top end of the engine. Examination of the piston tops and underside of the head will determine if anything got properly jammed up in the combustion chamber. Some dings here and there…
The fuel map would be running the engine a little fat if the ECU is set up correctly, it’ll be well and truly rich if the turbo borked mid pull, so no melted pistons.
It’s an apt example of the type of shithead he’s talking about.
So I should spend my money on a tool whose handle will destroy my hand, has wrenches built in that are useless for nearly 100% of nuts and bolts in the universe, and a saw blade that when used will cause the axe end of the tool to destroy my arm. Apparently they’ve hardened the whole thing, which is a bad idea, and…

‘Splain Lucy.
I want to see a picture of whatever it is you think he’s talking about. Any Suzuki or Mazda flat 6 will do.
Perhaps correcting someone’s pronunciation makes me a dingleberry, but I reserve all rights to tell someone they sound like an idiot.
Furthermore, if he wasn’t alert, perhaps lulled into complacency by the car’s abilities as they became apparent to him, was he correct in any report that nothing had happened prior to the impact? The car seems to have stopped remarkably close to that bicycle. That image alone suggests that the computer reacted…
Yeah, sorry, no. That system is calculating vectors for everything around it, and was no doubt aware of the victim’s position, direction and velocity. The same as it would be if you were there standing on the curb at the time. If you had been on that curb and decided to start moving into the path of the car, there’s…
The uprights are cast aluminum and extend down into the body, the horizontals are stainless trim channel. If you have rust in your windshield frame it’s the screws and tie straps that hold it together. The vertical tie bar in the middle can rust too I suppose.
The 74's were hideous. You’re a hero, my friend, a man among men.
To be fair, Pininfarina only designed about 6 body panels out of the lot.
The MGB-GT, but only the roof was done by Pininfarina. MG wanted to do a hard top version of the B, and it was only farmed out to the Italians because the Brits wanted to keep the original aluminum roadster windshield frame but couldn’t get it to work nicely with the rest of the car. So Pininfarina had a go at it and…
14.2 million? For real? How much for one you can survive walking across?
