Sadly a lot of directors (like Michael Bay) seem to think this way. :(

Is it just me, do I understand that as “I wanted her to get naked, but she did not want to” and “she even told her mom!” and “when I got grabby, someone defended her” aka entourage?

She's been acting for like 20 years. It's fine if he doesn't like working with trained actors, but he probably should have said that instead of...all of that.

oh so he was sad he lost the lead with the big boobs, now it all makes sense.

Yeah, but he thinks she's pretty so he can say whatever else he wants.

It wasn’t that he was bad in it, it’s just that he inherently annoys me.

Apparently this man is used to working with untrained actors, so it makes perfect sense that he thinks Adam Levine is a legit film talent and Kiera Knightley is a hack. Because untrained people are better at everything, you see.

He also called her a model. My eyes rolled so hard.

Right? We can't all hire enough people to make sure we're never alone with "creepy-boss" but I'm sure we'd all like to.

I wonder if her need for an entourage had anything to do with an excessively touchy-feely director. If I had the option of hiring human barriers to keep some of my previous coworkers at arms length, I might have had an entourage, too.

I like how he puts his arm around *her* in the article’s pic though, not a proper actor like smarmy Levine but good for a feel ew

Old dude mansplains how female actresses should do acting in order for him to like them.

I thought he was perfect for that role. But that's because the role was a douchey musician who thinks his music is super special and artsy.

That is completely how I read it too

This interview us just ugh. The interviewer never actually even asks anything about Keira Knightly, Carney just keeps bringing it up, on the first question even. It really smacks of someone who didn’t get the attention he thought he should get from his female star.

Interesting that he's got his arm around her shoulders though. He loves Levine but gets touchy-feely with Knightley. Right.

Hate to break it to you director dude, but Keira fucking made that movie. I went in loving Mark Ruffalo, I came out being basically infatuated with Knightly.

Yeah, I thought being an actor was ALL about hiding who you are? Like, if I am watching a movie and consistently call the character by the actor's name...that comes across as bad acting to me.

Keira’s thing is to hide who you are and I don’t think you can be an actor and do that.

I'm sorry. Stop the...whatever you stop in blogging. Did this jaghole just call ADAM LEVINE a proper film actor and KEIRA KNIGHTLEY is not? Those words do not make any sense in that order. No.
