More annoying than “Eat, Pray, Love” was this line from her TED talk on the anguish of the creative life:

“Do you eat at family restaurants that give kids raw dough to play with while you’re waiting for the food?”

I had no idea anyone saw him as a hero. Though that maybe explains why there was a movie?

Yes. I could tell you about the training, but then I'd have to kill you. It's highly classified.

I am sure I've seen them somewhere recently. Though I never gave them s thought before. Now I'll have to backtrack through every store I've been in during the past week and find them.

I like hard copy books because of the delightful feeling of having a stack of them waiting to be read. Goes back to being a child after a trip to the library. There’s a pile on my side of the bed right now that’s close to constituting a fire hazard, but it makes me happy. And I like that I can pass on a hard copy

My 11 year old daughter cooked chocolate covered crickets this week. And both my 9 year olds tried them. She took the rest to school for recess snack. I am very proud that I have somehow managed not to pass along my general dislike of insects and squeamishness when it comes to unfamiliar foods.

I like the jar idea. Though I don’t think I’d like how big my jar would need to be. A sweet tooth, stress eating, and camp food do not mix well together. :-(

Just no. That is not dessert!

If this little girl understood that the others were all dressing as princesses, and chose to dress as a hot dog instead, then Awesome! And more power to her.

Anyone else out there who just doesn’t get this magical female friendship thing? I never have.

The Van, by Roddy Doyle made me laugh out loud.

I went digging in my front yard this week and have the beginnings of a garden! I put in tomato plants and basil and Brussels sprouts and planted seeds for peas and beans and pumpkins. I would be so delighted if I actually get pumpkins - even teeny ones!

Definitely counts. Take care of yourself.

Broadchurch. Not sure how I haven’t watched this before.

It is fascinating, isn't it? :-)

Yes!!!

When everything’s dangerous, nothing is.

Yes, everything.

About a woman who plants lupins? What is the story? I have to find a copy
