Keeping watch over a sick little boy tonight. Nothing serious, just a stomach bug that’s been making the rounds. His older sister had it, twin brother might have had it, and I had it (thanks to two afternoons spent helping third grade build birdhouses). He’ll be fine by morning, but right now he’s camped out in the

Fair enough. Though I’m not expecting it to treat the acne. I’m just looking to get her to wash her face at this point. As long as it doesn't exacerbate any skin problems.

Yaayy! Fingers crossed for you!

Any comments on micellar water? I’d never heard of it till I recently noticed a lot of marketing for it. I got some for my daughter to use as a cleanser. She’s just 11 and starting to have some mild acne breakouts. But she still has a little kid’s irrational fear of soap and water. Using cotton pads is a lot easier

Don’t know about sensitive skin, but I find Ombrelle to be tolerable with my allergies - most sunscreens make me stuffed up. Also, I don’t wear makeup at all, so I’m not used to having anything on my face, but I find this one light and not too greasy on my already oily skin.

Where were these when I was 20 and barely a AA? Aside from Jockey, everything in my size was padded - which made me feel conspicuous, so I never wore bras. Now mid-forties, after nursing twins, these are cute but hardly functional.

Yes! A very good deed. :-)

I got toasted English muffins this morning. One of which had a darker stripe on the bottom. She tried to keep them warm while she made coffee by placing them on top of the toaster (no plate) and turning the toaster on. “The smoke is almost cleared,” she tells me as she she hands me my coffee mug.

So sorry for your loss.

Yeah, whenever I hear people complain about wait times or access in the Canadian system, I want to point them at discussions like this. Of all the other worries I had when pregnant, especially with twins, how much the birth might cost was not one of them. And for that I happily pay my taxes, and accept a wait in the

Yeah, ugh was my first thought. Maybe there’s some artistic merit here, but the sexy women on a construction site thing always irks me. Too much like the wall decor on my first job site. I don’t find the fact that it’s a girl group empowering at all, it’s still imagery that I find distasteful.

It's a bait and switch. The first one is easy to sucker you into having more.

I got vetoed on Beatrice (or even Beatrix) by husband. He couldn’t get past Beatrice Dairy, which is a major milk supplier around here. Such a shame.

This is madness.

and he said she’d never find anyone else who’d put up with her impossible mood swings.”

A sailor arrived home from a voyage to find that his wife had given birth to twins while he was at sea. As was custom, the children had been baptized soon after birth, so the sailor’s brother had chosen names. “The girl is Denise,” his brother told him. “That’s a lovely name,” said the sailor. “What did you call the

He has a BA in English Literature with his B.Ed. I sure hope he wasn’t a math teacher!

This is pretty much my attitude to everyone. :-)

I don’t even know who Peter King is (Canadian here), and this still made me splutter my coffee.

Fine. They’re excellently fit. Can they excellently bake bread, grow tomatoes, build a kite, recite poetry, make paper mache, play music, build a table, or any other of a hundred million endeavours that are at least as engaging and worthy of a human being’s time as working out. Nothing at all wrong with exercising to
