In NYC it isn't really "hot" though, it's one of those cuisines that get taken for granted. Ramen is really popular right now. I guess Banh Mi sandwiches have a decent buzz, still, and rightly so, as they are the best sandwich.

Ugh, I can imagine what this would sound like all too easily. Take Paul Simon's bad Dylan impression on "A Simple Desultory Philippic", twang up the background music, write bad rhymes about how loving america makes you a rebel, and give it to a child.

Nah, not at all bro. My impression of the original comment was just that, while OK City was certainly a major historical event which proves that homegrown white christian racist terrorism is a real threat (see also Dylan Roof, Planned Parenthood shootings/bombings, the murder of radio host Alan Berg if you wanna go

Well yeah, if you include Arab-Americans who decide to do one-man terrorist attacks (like Boston, Orlando and San Bernadino) as domestic, and fucking idiot shooters with no real agenda (like Sandy Hook and Aurora) as terrorism, this is an entirely up-to-date and realistic stance.

Yeah, I'm another proponent of buying a few shows (from iTunes.) At that premium price almost anything is available, and they roll the show out in almost "real time" (i.e. each episode drops the day after broadcast.)

I always worry way too much about pay what you want. Is there any amount you would find offensive? I am old school, can't really go below $5.

But seriously, aren't you supposed to be a music person? It's basically the new emusic or cdbaby*, but better. Artists keep most of the money as far as I know, can set prices any way they want, can sell merch. I guarantee there is somebody you know and care about selling their stuff there. (just guessing - Claudia

Here in NYC many of the drivers drive for more than one referral service simultaneously (Uber, Lyft, Juno…) Being a "free agent" does have that advantage.

"I just bought a 5lb bag of potatoes for $4, is that good?"

Fair enough, though this is the guy who told a story about a general shooting Muslims with bullets dipped in pig's blood, as though it was an awesome idea. This is in line with the outrageous things he did say.

The whole campaign was a non-stop raging dumpster fire, of course he is stupid enough.

Well, not fantastically worse. This is literally what he promised he would do, it's not like we didn't have any warning.

Yeah, look at all of the insane legal wrangling over waterboarding and surveillance under W, or "stop and frisk" in NYC. Took a long time for that shit to lose decisively in court.

Yeah, between the visa ban and the proposed defunding of the NEA and NEH actors will have plenty to talk about, and that's just sticking strictly to issues that actually affect the arts community.

"…because most of them are morons…"

There is a coffee cart on the way to work that says something like "when you buy from us you get quality, and quality is the best" which always leads me to wonder, aren't there negative qualities?

I'm more of a Corin in a Carrie world.

"The idea of a corporate entity - with something approaching a monopoly - autocratically deciding what is and is not suitable for public consumption…"

Snowflake would actually work really well as the new epithet for white people. Works on two levels.

Hey, if you could instantly appeal to maybe 10% of the population (all middle-aged white guys who still buy CDs) just by saying some shit, why wouldn't you.
