My heart just breaks for her. It was exceptionally painful to be a rape survivor on the internet yesterday, without having your job reprimand you in such a public, unsupportive way. I just cannot imagine.

This story continues to disturb and concern those of us who live in the Sonoran Desert. I read something once about how when scavenging puma will treat the carcass as its own kill, dragging it to a prefered site. As a result, we may be underestimating how often they scavenge. Add in environmental pressure reducing the amount of prey I bet we can get them to eat people who are dead or just sound sleepers. 

I’m all for feeding people to mountain lions.  Just keep giving them dead ones and we won’t have to worry about this little scenario.

I was on the fence about this show but now I must watch. The cringe is palpable.

You just described one of the reasons why Trump has tried to be an NFL owner on three different occasions. He wants his own plantation but the other plantation owners said no. 

Football in the South in particular has long had only a partial veneer at best over the days when black Americans toiled for their white masters. While most of them would never admit it in public, that dynamic remains a big part of the sport’s draw for many.

The Major sport that’s hardest on your body, is far and away the worst for your brain (and long term risks), but pays far and away the least and guarantees nothing in contracts (and has a history of fucking over it’s retirees) is having a problem with players walking away from the game.

Unfortunately, research is showing us that Football is detrimental to your health even before you make a single dime. Like, High School early:

I hope that NFL players take note of the lack of empathy people have shown Andrew Luck during this entire process. Don’t feel guilty about hold-outs for more money. Get as much money as you can and get the hell out before it becomes a detriment to your health.

For me, it’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Other than marrying my wife, no other experience comes even remotely close.  That being said, if someone wants to give me $200 billion so that I can rule that out definitively, I’m open to it...for science.

Because one time my baby actually leaned into me and hugged me, then he saw his dad on his other side, and leaned into him and hugged him, then he saw me and hugged me, then his dad, etc. He just couldn’t decide who to hug more.
