It's common in games where private matches let you alter game rules and behaviors. This is because some tweaks (like infinite ammo or movement speed) can make certain achievements WAY easier to acquire. Hopefully this is a sign that we will see Halo Reach levels of customizability in private matches in Titanfall.

First Person Shooters today are where 2D platformers were on the NES/SNES. The genre itself is capable of some great games but the market is completely saturated in mediocre crap thanks to its popularity. It's refreshing to see a new inventive FPS on the market.

The internet was most definitely around back then. You could play Doom over the internet in 1993, right in the middle of the 16 bit wars.

The studio working on the new Wolfenstein made The Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay and Assault on Dark Athena, both excellent shooters. I think we're in good hands.

Did it ever occur to you that HBO subscribers are just getting sick of the old cable TV model and only subscribe so they can view HBO content exclusively through HBO Go? If I was a subscriber, that's where I would go. Live TV and DVR's are so inconvenient next to streaming services.

May? Does that mean Apple could be going back to WWDC iPhone announcements?

Today I learned that handguns are weapons of mass destruction.

It's impossible to enforce a ban or any other kind of regulation on 3D printed firearms. What is the point in "banning" them if people who would use them for nefarious purposes can still print them?

Clearly anyone upset by this wasn't around during the 16-bit wars. I've seen some stuff man, this shit is child's play.

I thought they were pretty funny, especially the one about Half-Life 3. There's nothing wrong with poking fun at consoles. We've all been poking fun at the Xbone for almost a year now.

Computer science classes should be readily available in schools and encouraged, and worth science credit. However, to require all students to take computer programming courses seems a bit foolish. Not everyone has a brain built for coding, and there are a lot of (smart) people out there who would struggle to pass even

No, most hashing tools do not take into account the file name or any other file system metadata (such as created date).

I liked FFXIII...

Do Requiem and Tunebite transcode the video stream or do they just decrypt the original stream without re-encoding it?

This game also isn't confined to small sandbox levels like Ryse, offers a lot more verticality to the play area and runs at 1920x1080. Ryse has some pretty moments but I feel like Infamous Second Son is way more impressive, at least on the technical side of things.

Xbox live allows you to leave positive ratings for players, but few people ever go to the trouble of actually rating a player unless it's to leave negative feedback for a dick.

What has the world come to? Since when is 40fps "acceptable" in PC gaming?

All of these setups I've seen have made significant sacrifices to both framerate and quality settings. What's the point in playing a game at 4K if I'm stuck at 30fps?

Almost none of the stuff that makes cigarettes bad for you like tar and arsenic is present in e-cig vapor. Nicotine itself isn't chemically harmful beyond creating an insane level of chemical dependance (addiction).

I still buy CD's because it's the only source of lossless digital sound for many albums out there. I can easly rip them to FLAC an MP3 for conevenient listening on my PC or other device. So yes, there is still a reason for CDs to exist, but that would go away if online storefronts like Amazon MP3 started offering all
