RIGHT? “Audiences will be confused by black actors in a fantasy film.” What does that mean?!?!?!?! So, he either had to eliminate all fantasy elements or let them agree to make it all white people. -_-

Where they reading my diary? This has everything!

I mostly want to be friends with that dinosaur.

When Neil originally optioned Anansi Boys, they apparently told him that it could either be fantastical or have a black cast, not both. They said audiences wouldn’t understand having black people in a fantasy script. He refused to let them make it. Neil keeps a pretty tight reign on his works, so I’m going to trust

The whole time I was reading the book, he’s who I had in my head. Someone further down mentioned Burn Gorman, who I adore and would be great, but I’ve been wanting JEH in this part for years. He would kill it!

Oooooo. I’ve been fantasizing about Jackie Earle Haley ever since I read the book, but my love for Burn Gorman is now making me torn! I think they’d both be really good.

I would love Rip Torn or (weirdly) Sylvester McCoy as Mr. Wednesday. If Jackie Earle Haley is Loki, I will lose my fucking mind with joy.

Neil Gaiman said he’d only give the rights to someone who would cast a black actor. I don’t think we need to worry on that front. Honestly, I’m hoping for someone like Djimon Honsou.

Aww, that’s unfortunate. You’d think they’d become extra badass fighters, like a mama bear!

I did that the first day. You’re fine.

I’ve decided I’m a cat. I will no longer go to work. I’m going to sleep 18 hours a day and eat and snuggle for the rest. Miaou miaou.

HA!

Can we talk about her contouring, especially around her hairline? I know that’s not the main issue here, but considering she is literally darkening her face with makeup...it’s part of the issue. She needs to BLEND. That contouring is terrible.

Same, and that was mainly her being mad at herself for not fact-checking better. This would be a whole other level. It would be so beautiful.

That cat looks really sad. The crown weighs heavy on the cat that wears it.

Nooooooooo

I don’t know. I know plenty of book readers who were shocked by Shireen’s death on the show, but all of them fully expect Jon to come back from the dead.

Omg, I want to see THAT.

But then they couldn’t have had this amaaaaaazing plot that they’ve been obsessed with ever since they read it and just needed to throw Sansa into it for...reasons? I really hated the Sansey storyline.

And those stats are skewed because of how few people report. Men are even less likely to report than women, so some crisis agencies say that the numbers are closer to being equal.
