That is the first thing I thought of. They likely know how fast they can go on a wet track. It is really hard to go slow enough on water/coolant, water/oil, or water/fuel. Any of those in the right mix can be like ice.

What makes it so significant is the rumor/prototype/tease lasted for 45 years. How many things get teased for 45 years and then actually come to be?
I never liked any of the prototypes in the ‘70's. The shape driven by having a mid engine never looked good to me. For whatever reason this design works well for me. I always loved the Pantera’s.
