The charges are such a hot button, especially in the midwest. The jury came back in just 5 hours and acquitted her of everything but what amounts to a blue law violation (imo, burying a family member yourself shouldn’t earn jail time). That’s pretty definitive.

Unfortunately, it’s never going to be enough for people…

She was found not guilty of the worst charges, but they still convicted her on a count that can result in a 6 mo to 1 year sentence. It’s a better outcome than a murder conviction, but I’m not quite ready to call it “good” until she’s off the hook for what a jury determined was a still birth.

She had an eating disorder. So her periods may have been irregular, or minimally existent. Body dis-morphia is often a part of eating disorders as well, if she was showing at all. It’s quite possible that the fetus was small due to her lack of calorie intake.
