Good on Nexus. I’m so used to most sites just not caring or even passively (or actively) endorsing bigotry. Nexus still has some work to do, but the bar is so low that even this is impressive. 

There are other “oh this makes me feel icky” mods on Nexus Mods, and I wonder if they’ll ever get a definitive ‘NO’ from the site in time.

I think sexuality, like most things, exists on a spectrum and there are a looooot of guys that are waaaaay more bi than they are comfortable accepting and seeing that flirt option scares them because there is a part of themselves they want to deny that wants to click it.

I just can’t imagine having such fragile feelings that you’d download a mod to remove something you weren’t even going to use anyway.

Being someone who actually supports free expression, it pisses me off to no end to see these whiney fucking losers complain about “muh freedom of speeeeeaaachhh!” whenever someone else exercises their right to free expression and free association by refusing to provide a platform for, honestly, whatever.

The mod probably just changes it so that if you choose the masculine body type then it always uses he/him, something like that.

It just feels stupid making a stink about this. Like, professor Oak didn’t ask if you’re a boy or a girl for decades? Games with character customization never asked you if you wanted to make a male or female character? The only thing new about this choice is it’s increasingly being referred to as “body type” and…

I’m gonna guess the mod just set your pronouns based on the body type you pick and didn’t literally remove pronouns from the game

I like to think this all happened due to me, as I saw the mod in question just after it was uploaded, laughed at the crybaby who made it, and reported it. Within an hour, it was gone.

There were a handful of great reactionary mods that added MORE pronouns to the game. I liked that, and had a chuckle.

To the people who claim the removal violates their rights: no, it doesn’t. You don’t have the right to decide what Nexus does or doesn’t host any more than they have the right to make decisions for your website.

Imagine being so fucking thin skinned that optional pronouns bother you enough to download a fucking mod. These are the same chodes that will, unironically, call everyone else snowflakes for shit. Fuck these children, and good on Nexus for not hosting such a childish, dumb fucking mod. 

What a pathetic hill to die on. It’s literally a single option that can be completely ignored all together. Why have a mod that removes it?

It's always great when companies stick to their values even after backlash, because than it is on the consumer to vote with their choices and we can really see how important things are to people
