GM isn’t in trouble and this is a pretty hands clean deal with little blowback on GM or their brands. They have everything to gain from this. If all you read is Jalopnik reporting on the partnership I can see your perspective

You’re positives are actually what I find as it’s weaknesses; have to lean on the throttle more than I would expect for a down shift, and it’s in the right gear if the right gear is the most efficient low RPM. Could be the lack of power that’s missing with the 2.5NA that isn’t helping.

Pretty slick package. Just have to replace that old 6 speed automatic. Maybe when the new RWD platform debuts we’ll see an 8, 9, or 10 speed
