I don’t think you’re getting a modern (ie safety tech) sports car with a turbo under 2800lbs and that starting price. You’d be into premium materials to get that sort or weight savings.
I think, for me, a 2.0T Camaro with 1LE track pack, manual trans, and 91 octane daily-driver custom tune. I think that runs around $27k window MSRP. I know I know, there is a weight advantage BRZ, but that 1LE pack makes for a damn fine driver’s car for less cash money. Hell it might be possible to get the 6.2 V8 in…
Was all C6s I believe sold between a certain period. All Corvette coupes, base, GS, Z06, ZR1, have the removable targa roof panel.
A buddy had a Dodge Stealth/3000GT and this was an issue... 30 years ago. Or in Dodge years, still possible.
Payload goes down to less than 5 adult occupants

Exactly what any intelligent person knew would happen. Keep back paddling on your previous bias reporting Jalopnik.
Should make investors happy for about 12 seconds
If GM takes control, do their EV credits reset? They could run it pseudo-independently while using their ultium battery platform and motors. And they would spring board into hydrogen transport trucks, again using their own hydrogen powertrains but under a separate banner. Kind of a throwawayable entity, or one that…
I bet GM takes further control of Nikola
New Jag CUV will be the “Ayee”
Until Fiat puts a 6.2L supercharged Hell ‘Chat’ engine in it.
Bumper leashhhhohshit...
At this point what major manu has a stellar reputation?
GM isn’t in trouble and this is a pretty hands clean deal with little blowback on GM or their brands. They have everything to gain from this. If all you read is Jalopnik reporting on the partnership I can see your perspective
GM is going to drop their battery/drivetrain and hydrogen cell in Nikola vehicles either way, and use them as a springboard into hydrogen transport truck market. They don’t really have much to lose, a lot to gain, and it seems like now more than 2 weeks ago when the partnership was announced they have more power to…
What, no edgy pessimistic sarcasm that would’ve been included if this was about the Hummer EV, Silverado EV, or any other GM EV project??
You’re positives are actually what I find as it’s weaknesses; have to lean on the throttle more than I would expect for a down shift, and it’s in the right gear if the right gear is the most efficient low RPM. Could be the lack of power that’s missing with the 2.5NA that isn’t helping.
Lol good effort
Pretty slick package. Just have to replace that old 6 speed automatic. Maybe when the new RWD platform debuts we’ll see an 8, 9, or 10 speed
