I’m curious to see what the premium will be for a 5.0 versus a identically equipped EV.

Funny how in order for GM to be the biggest in the world by sales they acquired all sort of brands, then realized it’s maybe not the best strategy right around the same time VW was following their lead.. here we are a decade later and VW sees the same. VW’s focus for the past 10-15 years, minus that last few, was that…
F150 EV cheaper to own... once you’ve paid for it
Tesla was built on the sole purpose to make EVs on a small scale and ramp up, that is not the situation at GM or any other major manufacturer. The two, Tesla vs GM, are not comparable
I think GM is timing the electrification of it’s lineup pretty accurately where it can deliver range, price, and profit per unit. It’s a mega gamble for a huge manufacturer to push too soon and flop. Maybe they are 12-18 months behind the curve, but again they need this drive system proofed, they can’t be like Tesla…
Yup same, I had an iphone XR for about 2 years and it couldn’t handle Jalopnik.. couldn’t handle a lot other things either lol, my company just gave me an Samsung S20 after begging to switch to Android for work purposes. Great for work and everything else, except Jalopnik, especially trying to rear and write comments.
Thats a great idea. I'm about ready to end my 15 year run around these parts.
I was here in the early days, 2005 likely. Back then I was here and Leftlanenews and the fast lane daily on youtube. Ditched LLN many years ago, Fastlane got bought out and went to shit and is gone now I think, and Jalopnik, well I’m holding hope some turnover can get back to what made this place great.
Sounds like you justified my criticism, unless you were being cheeky and sarcastic - in which case, kudos
In effort for them to be a zero waste manufacturer, 'reclaimed' wood pallets will soon be a new $1200 interior trim kit
One model year of initial impressions doesn’t change a developed and reoccurring trend
Can we acknowledge that bikes are not cars? K, done.
Coincidentally Jalopnik saying stupid shit and half-reporting news also saw page views and commenter engagement grow.
I read a properly reported report of the deal and GM is getting $2M of Nikola common shares.
1st no one here wants a cheaply made EV that gets 50 miles of range. It’s a different market
Incorrect. Chrysler and now FCA brands have a long standing, true to this day, tradition of being ranked in the bottom half, if not bottom, of quality and reliability indices.
Lol I really don’t care if this gives you some sort of satisfaction. If you’re a Chrysler titty sucker there is no reasoning with you. And if you are just being a little bitch about it in general, then you can look it up for yourself. You seem to seek internet enlightenment and credit so that should be right up you…
Cool pal, enjoy your Dart
If you’re on Jalopnik I’d like to believe you have some knowledge of automobiles and the industry so it’s annoyingly frustrating that I need to substantiate a pretty damn commonly known claim that FCA and quality are oil and water. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.freep.com/amp/3292743002
Google it, what are you an invalid. FCA is renowned junk in modern terms with no innovation beyond stuffing old forced induction V8s into equally, if not older, platforms.
