Whats the difference of a half ton EcoBoost being rated at 12000lbs towing or an HD with pushrod V8. The EcoBoost isn’t a good working engine. It’s a good cruising engine that when unburdened can haul balls when you out your foot in it.

lol when an exec says there are issues. and they’ve been pushing ecoboost engines as great truck engines with insane towing specs, then when it comes down to building a hard working reliable HD engine they flat out admit a V8 is better. My mistake. I actually thought all EcoBoost were twin turbo. But in any case, their proliferation of turbo motors from 1.0L 3 cylinder turbo to 3.5L twin turbo. 

There are countless people out there with leaking oil pans on EcoBoost engines. All oil pans are plastic except for newer Raptors. Turbo going at 50k miles. Spark plug issues early on. I don’t track it, I’m not even sure what else has plagued them.

Who knew running twin turbo engines in everything from hot hatches to half ton trucks giving them 13,000lb tow rating or pushing that TT V6 to 450hp in a 6000lb Raptor would be expensive warranty down the road.

None other than jalopniks current flagrant hate on GM for no discernible reason over any other automaker. Everything GM does is judged with a negative tone or spin. Many other readers have noted it too. I'd like to see a change. I don't think there should be an agenda for or against any brand. Call it like it is.

Everyone does an end of year clearance, end of a generation is markedly more for good reason. 

You act like there are the only ones with a big discount. Ram 1500 is consistently offering 40% cash discount plus smaller stackable incentives.
Gotta hit that “hate on GM” quota though, right.
Current inventory clearance in advance of a new generation is all part of new product rollout no matter what industry.

But the markets they are pulling out of would likely take such a large investment short term to see positive growth and profit that if a downturn happens that growth never ends up happening at all and is billions down the drain.
