Disabling comments on deadsping posts was a pretty shitty move, but not the least bit surprising.

Still the greatest April Fools switcheroo of all time.

Can you let me know when you will be returning to sports coverage so I can go back to checking in once or twice per day? I have a lot to do today at work and all of these posts about non-sports topics are distracting because I Must Read Every Single One of Them. Whereas with the sports stuff I really only care if its…
Sticking to sports is a recipe for boring, low traffic articles.
Honestly, this blog post has far too much sports-adjacent content, IMO. Needs less sports.
You guys are awesome. It is not hyperbole to say that this site often gets me through the day. Keep up the good work, and for the love of god do not stick to sports.
It’s shitty and negligent, but there is no intention to deceive or defraud.
I do have a law degree, as do the judges who wrote this decision. I worked a law clerk for nearly 3 years.
Your focus is wrong. Your focus is on the term “unfair”, which is a subjective term. The full term is “unfair practice”, which has a direct legal definition that isn’t matched by the actions taken by the mechanic in this case.
Yes, and he’s right. The statute is design to punish worse dealers who go “Oh, we changed your oil and replaced your fuel filter,” but didn’t DO that. It is not designed to punish ordinary negligence in “oh, we changed your oil, but did it poorly.” One represents a fraud on the customer, the other is just negligent.
And in this case the court was right. There was nothing unfair or deceptive about forgetting to tighten the lug nuts, what was just negligence. In this case the mechanic *did* actually rotate the tires, he just did a shitty job at it.
The US didn’t have a military presence in Crimea, nor were they largely responsible for destabilization in the region. Additionally, Russia’s goal in annexing Crimea wasn’t to openly commit genocide. That you think the two are even remotely comparable is laughable.
The main difference is that the USA was helping the Kurds, and just left as if it were a light switch you can turn off. Without giving everyone the time to prepare, without reigning in Turkey beforehand, without thinking.
Leaving is not the problem. Running out of the house and leaving the door wide open for…
I think that’s what a lot of people miss about comedy. Many times the jokes are about trying to lighten up a shitty situation.
Just some background for you, as he explains in the special, he didn’t know her before she came to his show. After the show he went up to the bar and Daphne approached him and he thought she was going to seriously let him have it for his material. But she actually said she thought it was hysterical, and she thanked…
News for you, Chappelle comedy is politically incorrect. He makes fun of blacks, whites, asians, latin americans, his wife, his kids, his friends. It is NOT on public television, it is a Netflix Special, you don’t accidently click on his comedy. If you don’t like politically incorrect jokes, then why did you click on…
I disagree, I don’t think any of Chappelle’s jokes were “transphobic” just cause some white folks on Jezebel said so, that’s utter nonsense.
Every joke is going to offend at least one person, you’ll never completely please everyone and you’ll look foolish trying to do so.
I think Dave should be allowed to say whatever…
Given the high suicide rate, perhaps, for some (note that I said some) trans people, transitioning isn’t the answer they were looking for. Perhaps they needed to do something different to gain mental equilibrium. I think it’s time that was looked at, as the suicide figures are shocking.
