The first two movies were my favorites when I was a little kid and Harry Potter fanatic, for the exact reason that critics look down on them: they were the only ones to actually provide the exact experience of seeing the books on screen.

I was a little leery of Rebels at first, but once I started watching it, I found it was great. I hope we can get more animated Star Wars series in the future, too.

My physiotherapist refuses to watch the Clone Wars and Rebels animated series because they are ‘cartoons’, despite the fact that it does so much to rescue the prequel universe. It takes a number of throw away characters (ie. Darth Maul, Padame, and the clones in general) and turns them into interesting, complex

Never did anything interesting with his character?! Did you watch Clone Wars or Rebels? Seriously? They gave him so much depth as a character it’s insane, his reemergence might have been a bit fetched but what they did for his character was astounding. His were some of the best stories in Clone Wars, not to mention

That whole scene was great and the fight was flawless. The subtext. The moment Obi-Wan ignites his saber and why. They CHANGE STANCES as they size each other up its just agh its perfect.

That’s why the fight is brilliant: those stances Obi-wan takes are call-backs that are meant to lead Maul. He starts with the stance that Maul expects, the form that he took in his prime during the Clone Wars. Then he transitions to a more simple form, calling back to the one he held often as a padawan, and then

I like this approach better, it feels more Korusawa influenced, and how I feel like the epIV fight was trying to achieve.

Which is exactly what that Obi-wan v Maul fight ends up being. Three moves after some verbal sparring and a series of stances that call-back to previous fights and characters. No dancing, just win.

Now playing

I feel like the Obi-Wan vs. Darth Maul moment in Rebels is the best treatment of the sort of warrior Obi-Wan is in his old age. To me, the fight above perfectly bridges the prequel era and the OT era, because it pays homage to the old stories with every single moment, while also recognizing that people do change.

The stupid tactics were kinda why Leia was pissed at Poe. Those bombers were so stupidly fragile that a single TIE Fighter kamikaze took out 3 of them.

And Yes Finn was prepared to ram into the laser generator presumably it might have damaged it enough to be ineffective.

They are actually canon in the DisneyVerse..

I don’t recall them being used in the movies. They have been used in the canonical Rebels cartoon, though.

WARNING: lots of thoughts, lots of text.

What I took away from Rey’s vision in the mirror was that she IS her own parents. By which I mean, she is her own person, her own creation; who she is is due to her own decisions and she doesn’t have parents to thank for her virtues or blame for her shortcomings.

Here’s the thing with Leia “flying.”

Star Wars isn’t always the best place to see good physics, but if she were in the vacuum of space, there wouldn’t be any gravity. In a zero-g environment, you would only need a small amount of exertion to move yourself.

Leia isn’t “flying” so much as she’s gently pulling her

They made Luke Skywalker interesting. I love the original trilogy. I love Mark Hamill. I have read an ungodly amount of Expanded Universe stuff. And most of it, however hard it tries, can’t make Luke interesting. He’s The Hero, The Beacon of Hope, The Savior of the Galaxy, the Jediest Jedi in all of the Jedi. Even

I was simultaneously disappointed and absolutely in love with this entry.

“When you’re exposed to vacuum, the air in your lungs is forced out through your mouth. After that, you should be able to make breathing motions normally, but there will of course be no air to breathe. You will not experience any exploding eyeballs or embolisms like you see in the movies, although you may experience

1) You dont need to argue that BB is tapping into Lovecraft, they should practically put his name in the credits.
