They have been in the canon for a while. Clone Wars is canon and saw both the Jedi Temple Guards, and Ahsoka with them.

White and Black too, Ahsoka shifted to white for Rebels and The darksaber has shown up in both shows.
The white light saber comes from a repurposed crystal taken from an Inquisitor. This happened between Clone Wars and Rebels in the Ahsoka novel.
The Jedi were firm believers in Force Darwinism. There used to be two hundred kids in that class.
That’s not a scorpion. That’s Colin Farrell.
I like the way “few fewer” sounded. Sue me.
Is that a knit sweater version of the jacket in Drive?
And one Weasley spoiler: Space-measles turns you into a goofy-looking ginger.
What about Porg The Lesser?
I think Episode 7 made this plot point too confusing by calling the map fragment, “The Map to Luke Skywalker”. In actuality, The map was a History of founded Jedi temples. The Resistance happened to know that Luke went looking for the first Jedi Temple, but by this time, that knowledge was only possessed by the Empire…
We haven’t quite hit the Yuuzhan Vong yet, but give ‘em enough rope…
Finn was conscripted by the Imperial Remnant, but that was before they hired a bunch of expensive marketing consultants. The focus group gave high marks to a rebrand as “The First Order,” but having Kylo Ren as the moderator might have influenced their opinion a bit.
The First Order was formulated from remnants of the Empire who lost much of their civilian population base after the war. They scraped up conscript children to raise into a new generation of loyal stormtroopers.
The First Order was growing and gaining power in secret out in wild space ever since the battle of Jakku shortly after ROTJ. So they were basically out in unknown space rebuilding for 30 years. During that time Finn, one of many, was taken and raised as storm trooper for the FO.
I’m hoping they either go with Space Jebus 2.0 (either divine insemination or she just appeared out of nowhere) or she comes from a complete unknown family and just happens to be extremely force attuned
The secret Kenobi grandbaby theory certainly isn’t the most far-fetched one I’ve heard but I would still rather than Rey’s parentage be ho-hum or at least something interesting. Luke’s secret baby is, to me, not that intriguing. Hey, at any rate, at least we might have a better idea in just a few short weeks!
She’s Rey Meeko-Verso, come on.
$14 is still a LOT less than the $140 a month for basic cable TV. We have Amazon too, but we easily use enough Netflix to make it worth the $$$.
