I don’t get why so many seem to think it’s an either-or choice. Leia was raised by the Organas to be a leader and she had a natural aptitude to it. Yes you can see the skeleton of good ideas in the films, but the lack of writing and directorial continuity will forever be the ST’s biggest flaw.
