I walked out of Last Jedi having no idea where they’d go next with this but being excited as hell to see it. That feeling died entirely when they announced the new one was going to be titled Rise of Skywalker.

Exactly this. Holdo would’ve been entirely within her rights to have Poe swiftly shot for insubordination. And while I like TLJ as-is, I think that decision probably would’ve improved the movie.
^This, but unironically.
At least you learned that lesson easier than Wade Boggs did.
Nick Bosa is never, under any circumstances, the good guy. The right thing to do is root for his most embarrassing failure in all situations.
... and that the only halfway moral character on Veep was Gary. (I would have also accepted Catherine before she was turned into caricature but fine.)
It’s important to note that public support for impeachment has been increasing dramatically in recent polls, and even before that increase had long been much higher than it was when the Watergate investigations began. The two situations aren’t exact analogs.
Assad’s in the former category, one of the far-right dictators she makes excuses for. Modi’s the far-right leader she’s lavished with the most outright praise.
I legitimately don’t understand how total the DNC’s opposition to an undercard is. Including the likes of Williamson, Delaney, Swalwell, Gabbard, Ryan, etc. was never important enough to keep Warren, Sanders, Biden, Harris, and Buttigieg from sharing a stage.
She’s selectively anti-war when she thinks the posture is beneficial to her, but also a committed Islamophobe and self-described “hawk” on terrorism. She jumped into Bernie’s orbit for a hot second when it seemed like that could raise her profile, but Steve Bannon still loves her and she was floated for a cabinet post…
This kinda sucks. Inslee was one of the only non-major candidates whose presence contributed anything of value. The fact that he’s out of the race while we might have to put up with another needlessly split debate because of chucklefucks like Gabbard, Steyer and Yang is deeply unfortunate.
Warren-Castro is my first choice right now, too. I don’t think Harris would want to be VP. My read of that situation is she’s running to be either lead the ticket or be appointed AG.
Only problem is, Castro can’t run for Senate once he’s Warren’s running mate.
It’s seems pretty reasonable to me to argue that Valeriano Weyler’s policies in Cuba 1896-1897 amounted to concentration camps, and those did slightly predate the Boer War. Not that it really changes your point too much (the Cuban population of the time would’ve definitely been more diverse than the Boers, but I’m…
So I only know you from this two-year-old thread, but I fell pretty comfortable saying that you’re an inconsiderate monster and I hope we never, ever drink in the same places.
I’m not a Biden supporter, but I can at least understand how a “back to normal” candidacy appeals to people who don’t follow politics closely. I think it’s wrong, but I can see how it makes sense as part of an uninformed worldview.
Should you therefore be made the subject of fun?
Does the reboot contain potassium benzoate?
He might do that, because he’s a bumbling idiot with a reputation for ignoring his lawyers’ advice, but even in that case SDNY still has him the second he steps down. Presidents can’t pardon state-level crimes.
