Former 2013 Passat TDI owner with a 6spd manual from new to ~120,000 miles. My turbo failed 2x, and the radiator plugged so less heat than a functional diesel. To be fair VW fixed both items under warranty (extended) and I don’t know if the radiator problem was fixed post 2013 or not.  If it matters to you I live in…

Yes the races are removable. RJ the Bike Guy on the Tube has a homemade tool for doing just that.

yea, when you said you rescued it from down Champaign it sounded like you found it. At 6'3" and mostly legs I have an issue finding used bikes that will fit but nothing like what you face.  Good to see you ride ‘em during all 4 seasons.
