You clearly did not have children go shopping with you when you went to Target.

If this doesn’t get COTD we know that pigfuckers are running the website.

My son has a speed6 I helped him find.  Even I like that car.

I was looking for the CP ---- NP scale for this one.  I agree today’s vehicle belongs way to the left of CP.

.....with benefits!

Florida would like a word with you.

in the vehicle as a double to take advantage of HOV lanes is one use!

I agree completely. Supercharger’s are great technology and charging multiple EVs will require a lot of power. As more folks convert to EVs if there isn’t the capacity at a charge station to accomodate them in a short amount of time it will be difficult to validate their choice.

No offense but I think you should cultivate a few more rural acquaintances. You are correct in that there is an urban/suburban mix of commuters but that’s not what I am talking about. Consider that the closest ‘large’ town to me (Duluth, pop 80,000) is 70 minutes away. I will go through only 3 stop lights to get there

I believe his concern. Where was that?

There is some truth to that as EVs are expensive compared to other options and although cost of living may be less in most rural areas average earnings are also typically less.

I commute to one of 4 different places depending on the day and day of the month; 12, 60, 125 or 190 miles one way. I’ll agree that my situation isnt typical but between work and play I’ve put on 24,000-30,000 miles per year the past 7 years or so. Range anxiety on a tight time schedule is real, as is range anxiety

Electric cars represent just the latest in the urban/rural divide. Urban dwellers have short distances and plug in opportunities at home or covered parking spaces (but not on the street). Rural folk have plug in opps aplenty but distances can be problematic, esp w a long commute, no charging stations at work and

Massive CP loss.

No. Back to a 1996 Passat.

That would be just fine.

I can’t believe I clicked NP.   For a Saturn Ion.  My world view has seismically shifted.

And they have no manual trans which for me is less fun.

You had me at: “Before you can say, “Who decided to make a Bergman film in space?”

I like this too. I’ll save the trip down the rabbit hole for tomorrow at work.
