Our ASW crews now have to be better hunters. That means more accurate tracks, from better senors, and faster delivery of the weapon.

Actually it depends upon the mission and the political atmosphere.

Along with human intelligence, among others, the overhead pics simply tell the analyst sub is here...sub is not here. That is relayed to interested parties and if needed, the search, localize and tracking mission(s) is/are assigned.
