Yes! I love the CNM at my school - many of them are more willing to teach than the OB/GYNs, and a lot of skills that are less common in hospitals have been preserved in the midwife community.

Doulas can’t do procedures, but they’re not pointless - their role is to support the woman and advocate for her so that the doctor/NP/CNM can focus on the clinical aspect.
