Really? I love mine but I have fairly mid-to-light periods so maybe I just don’t max them out. I think they’re awesome! No more dry tampon feeling ever!

That’s what I said too! Calvino party *high five*!

Bulgakov is so great. Have you read Heart of a Dog yet?

God that book was so fucking depressing. Beautiful, but really horrendously depressing.

Master and Margarita!

Alice in Wonderland?

Mine would be: ardent lovers are cousins, or siblings...

Invisible cities?

That lip color!!!

I don’t even like to run, but the Zombies, Run! app has been completely worth the initial investment. It gets me out of the house and keeps me entertained even when the last thing I want to do is haul my ass up and down hills.

The good dress is so good! It’s got the awesome of a caftan but you still get to have a waist, so it’s pretty much perfect. I second everything that’s been said about Grecian/gladiator sandals. If you want to be less on-theme with it, my go-to for dressing things down is flat (not heeled!) boots - I think that dress

Yay good for you! I got into medical school after six years out of school and it was incredibly nerve-racking to compare myself to all the 23 year olds breezing right through.

My most embarrassing one is to the tune of the intro riff to Eye of the Tiger:

You’re totally right and I think a lot of people have internalized that attitude. My mom constantly remarks on my weight and applauds me for staying thin, but then goes and shits on women who work out or pay for a gym membership as vain and indulgent. Just like how my non-makeup wearing sister is the “natural beauty”

Could you recommend some products you use for the AHAs and peel? I finally feel like i’ve mastered basic skin care (double cleansing, using good moisturizer and SPF, etc.) and want to expand to more preventative care. I just don’t know where to start!

I live up the street from the Slow Factory and somehow I missed all the period undie party.

Jesus she’s 90% torso. Like a weasel, or a blonde daschund.

My hair is so straight and fine it was routinely described as “flat” when I was a child (thanks, curly-haired Mom for never letting that one die...) and my earth-shaking revelation was...let it get dirty. Really dirty. I always though I had to wash it every other day to keep it from getting even flatter, but nope, dry

I loooooove dry shampoo for my fine, flat hair, but it definitely builds up over time, especially with cheaper brands. I do a clarifying rinse when I notice my hair looking greasy right after a wash, so I just put a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in cool water and really rub it into my roots after I

I’m going to Boston this coming weekend, and then two weeks after that I’m going to British Columbia! Mr Parade talked me into an 8 day sea kayaking course, so we’re going to do that, and then rent a cabin for another week to go hiking, chill in the hot springs, etc. We’re also spending thee days in Vancouver, so I’m
