Wasn’t attempting to do either. Just comparing it to the cases of fraud we see on the local news every day.

It doesn’t, really - it’s fraud and/or theft either way.

They probably thought he’d get 5 or 10 grand. They’d look like heroes, get all kinds of attention and probably figure out a way to profit from their notoriety and saintliness. 

His lawyers would just present a photo of the BMW and immediately rest their case.

A friend of Donald Trump’s who doesn’t seem to know how basic human behavior is supposed to work.

Considering some Trump supporters think Mueller is actually on his side (Q-Anon), it’s not difficult to imagine some of them thinking “This is what Trump REALLY thinks of Cruz - he doesn’t REALLY want us voting for him, so I’ll stay home.” Which isn’t really a huge stretch.

I like Elizabeth Warren, but she is a former Republican.
