If they are investing that much in permeating the casual market, I think they have a good chance of succeeding, but the X-Box Gold subscriptions are going to really hurt them in the long run.

@grumpydorf: I don't know why, but it fascinates me to see how the the gaming industry reaches out to the general population.

@Frightening Marmalade: Holy crap! That was fast. It took me a couple of months to get to the vault. Of course, given that I only played split-screen, and that I started a different character for each friend that I played with (so that we would be at the same level), it makes sense that it took a while, but even

@Frightening Marmalade: I believe the toughness of the enemies are scaled up for co-op, but I can't say whether the difficulty is harder in co-op or single player because I almost exclusively played split-screen.

@Azndude: Facebook doesn't put nearly as large a dent in my productivity as Kotaku.

@SuicidalEarthworm: This is what I do. I'm currently playing Bioshock (the first one) that I got new for about $15.

@WhiteAlexander: I love Borderlands, but I think I would be bored after a few hours if I played it by myself.

@ryanfrost13: I agree that their is nothing wrong with finding large breasts appealing and wanting a character to be attractive, but as a designer, you are creating a character to fit a role. If you are sacrificing the believability of a character to make her more attractive to certain players, then that is

@Kellen Dunkelberger: I'm sure it says something about gender equality, but I'm not clear on what you're saying that is. Elaborate?

Wow, what a clear example of why it's important to have diversity in the development staff. I'm glad that someone recognizes that there are those of us who like to play strong women who actually look like the would be able to run without being in pain.

I think the 3DS looks amazing, but $300 is just outrageous. I'll get one whenever it hits the $200 mark.

Reading this, I understand the reasoning behind the changes, but I don't like the results. The loved/hated system was by far my favorite review format of any website. I understand the concerns of loved/hated categories putting a spin on the content, but that can be improved without the entire structure being thrown

@fillerbunny9: The butchering of the series is a whole different issue. On second thought, maybe the glitch is doing gamers a favor.

@UndeadJokesJokes: I agree that the loved/hated reviews were a much more informative system. I appreciated that it was up to the reader to pick and choose what matters to their own gameplay. With this new format, I see the attempt to do the same thing, but the result is that the review lacks depth and feels too

Wow, this actually makes the service really worthwhile, provided of course that the internet connection is up to par. The wifi beta didn't work for me, but if they can get that going, I'll be all over it.

@kibles: They did listen, hence them canceling the fee before a single person was charged. Getting feedback and making changes is the point of beta testing.

@kearneybobs: I'm a geologist-in-training...GIT! (Yes I literally have "git" after my name on my business card). That picture is the shirt I wore to work today.

I like the action and the humor, but it looks unfinished, like every single element was taken from a different piece of concept art and photoshopped together, which probably exactly what happened.

The DS was great, but it made some of my friends (and my mom) super mad when they realized their rhythm wasn't as good as they thought.
