@JeffPom: Exactly, every iPhone owner I know loves using their phone despite the antenna issue, and yet my droid glitches out on me all the time and makes me want to chuck it across the room. On top of the small glitches, the entire operating system literally crashes about 5 times a week.

@Celestial Panda: Me too, except my version was called SNAFU. I imagine they changed the name after learning what the acronym stands for.

My partner will be eligible for the student discount in the fall (she got a macbook last fall), so I'm considering a new macbook. My current macbook is the low-end from 2006 with upgraded memory. I haven't decided yet whether to go baseline again or step up to the pro. I'm interested in a bigger screen, especially for

This is hilarious. The only reason that anyone is paying attention to this is because its Apple. I have a Droid, shall I list all the problems that I've had with the phone?

@Hatebunny: The only time where I was moving the remote fast enough where it could actually cause damage if it fell out of my hand was pitching in the baseball game in Wii Sports. Before I caught on that I could just flick my wrist, I was mimicking full-on pitches straight at my TV. That only lasted a few minutes, but

@AerintheGREAT: I wish that's how it felt for me. In the early level where you have to climb the hill to play the boss (the block that falls on you), it took me dozens of attempts to make it all the way to the top without falling off. Every moment that I played felt that that same uphill struggle for me. I couldn't

@ryanscott.eu: I wish I did like it. I even went back an tried it after playing the first Galaxy, but I still couldn't get into it. I feel like everyone in the gaming community is in on this amazing secret that I can't figure out.

@porkchop sandwiches!: That is interesting that what attracts me to 2D gaming is exactly what turns you off. I remember playing those platformers so much that the timing would almost become rhythmic.

@RockyRan: I think it is just the type of game that resonates with certain people. In fairness, I'm not really into other, similar games so it might be me more than the game.

@MarroniGames: I shouldn't have implied that the game doesn't play well (I can't say because I didn't play it) or that you didn't work hard on it. My bad. My intention was to comment to on whether your game deserves to be in the top 5 or 10 itunes games, not whether it is a "steaming pile of crap". However, making

I think its really naive and borderline insulting to say that he expected to be in the top 10 itunes with a mediocre rip-off of a classic arcade games just because he inserted a metaphor. The iphone platform is bursting at the seems in innovation and creativity, but this has neither. It's the creative equivalent of

I signed up for an invite on the first day. I'm doing it for sure.

90% of the reason why I wouldn't want to use my real name is because I sometimes read blogs at work and I don't want someone to be able to google my name and see all these time-stamped comments during work hours.

@dimglow1: Co-Optimus a good resource for finding info on coop gaming. It has a database of games that lists things like # of local players, # of online players, whether it has split-screen, etc.

@RockyRan: While there are many locations and towns, I felt like I was doing the same thing wherever I went...blowing stuff up. The grappling hook is cool, but after the tenth time I attached a guy to a tank and sent him flying, or pulled a guy towards me and shot him the in the air, the novelty wore off.

I've been in Portland almost 3 years now. I love it here.
