When Super Mario 64 came out it didn't feel like a brilliant revolution in gaming to me, it felt like the ruin of games. I didn't hate it per se, but it had lost the magic. I couldn't really put my finger on it at the time, but my fun had been replaced by frustration. It was no longer about the fluidity of perfect

I just redeemed my platinum status. It looks like they give the platinum members an option to choose the gold reward which is pretty cool, although I don't know who would want to do that this year. I just made it by a hair.

I just hit platinum status a few days ago. I hope the reward is good this year.

@Win Laik Pya: Exactly. They left out my entire gender, how's that for custom?

@Instant_Awesome: I've had people visiting from out of town for the last 2 weeks (different people back-to-back) and so I haven't been able to play it much and I'm going crazy. Every time I say that I'm going to play a game, they want to watch a movie. I'm only on star 44. Thinking about it makes me want to go home

@Paradox me: I love Windwaker. It's my favorite 3D Zelda hands down! I liked the graphics, but my love for the game had a lot more to do with the game design. Although I didn't mind the TP graphics, I didn't think the actual game was nearly as good as Windwaker. Overall, I like that the Zelda games are visually

Best New Game: Lost in Shadow

@Benjamin Urquidez: Here is a link that explains the different 3D technologies. The part about the parallax barrier is relevant to the 3DS.

I hope that this game turns out well. The paint/erase mechanic has potential, but it will come down to how it's used. Honestly, I got a little worried during the E3 demo, the 2D platforming looked pretty bland, and it didn't help that he spent the whole time backtracking to go over the same obstacle repeatedly for

@Sumada: I agree completely. My issue with violence in games isn't as much about morals as it is about stagnation.

@Tacticalspoon: That video definitely piqued my interest in the game. I love the graphical style. It looks fantastic in motion.

@monkey314159: It doesn't mutilate. It stays on the man without breaking the skin and is painful, but he can have it removed by a doctor with no lasting physical harm.

@Gokul Krishna Addanki: This article is misleading. It doesn't get stuck in the woman and "tear penises up", it get stuck on the man when he pulls out, meaning that he needs to see a docor to have it removed. Theoretically, the woman could walk away immediately physically unharmed, assuming of course that the man

@Shin-GO: Are you talking about PC gaming? I find myself leaning forward to read all the time at work when I'm concentrating, even though I can read it from farther away without an issue.

@SeventhSteel: So what if it's easy to find a discount on Live? We're talking about free vs. not free, or basic vs premium. $30 is still $30, and that's a lot more than free if I'm only going to be using it once or twice a month.

@Space Bot: We pay for the online multiplayer software. So, with many games, we are paying for something that we can't use unless we also pay for the Gold service.

@KaMai: How will PS+ work better? The only features I've seen announced are content. Is there more that I'm missing?

@CommentingpointlesslyisMeh: I was referring to resolution in terms of pixel density, which determines the "jagginess" of the images. The PSP has more pixels, but the screen is larger, so the pixel density is about 129 ppi, whereas the 3DS is 133 ppi. So, the 3DS is slightly higher, but essentially they are the same.
