@captain_cthulhu: Why not? The state of being most "avid" is not fixed. Games are incredibly young medium. There are many examples of new "generations" surpassing old ones in film, music, and art.

For those deriding every single person who has anything good to say about gaming on the iPad: did you stop to think of the fact that when they talk about a "gaming revolution", they aren't talking about us?

@uglyteradon: I still have yet to play Four Swords for that reason and I've wanted to since the second I heard about it.

I'm 25, at work, and I have the pokewalker in my pocket right now.

@fearing: I'm just concerned that the 2D isn't going to be quite as good as the 2D games that the first-person isn't going to be quite as good as the prime games. In other words, by blending the two styles together, they'll feel diluted.

@Leanid: To move around and explore. Otherwise it's just a shooting gallery or a rail-shooter.

I'm skeptical of the control mechanisms. The Wii remote seems way too simplistic. Without shoulder buttons, is the aiming going to be all automatic?

4-player split-screen! If it's anything less than terrible, I will get it just for this.

The shadiest transaction I've ever made was for a puppy. I was helping my grandfather find a dog for his wife. We bought a dog from a reputable breeder and transported with a pet delivery guy.

@fuchikoma: I'm usually so worried that I will use the TMs on the wrong pokemon that I don't use them at all.

@Andrew Wyatt: I honestly don't know, I haven't played any others. If I had to guess, I'd say probably Super Smash Brothers in general.

@Shiryu: That's a total bummer.

@Andrew Wyatt: I doubt it was the first, but I will say Super Smash Brother Brawl. I bought into the hype and got it on release day. I honestly can't stand that game.

@jonesey666: About 6 of the last 7 times I have asked a store for an unopened copy, the person at the store (often a manager who is standing behind the counter) gives me a condescending attitude about how the opened ones are new and then tries to bargain with me to get me to buy something even after repeated

@Angry_Giant: 1. 3D games. I missed out on the entire N64 generation because I couldn't get into the games. Mario 64 felt awkward and clunky to me. Blasphemous, I know. I was very adamant that 3D games were inferior to 2D since screens are 2D surfaces.

Do you you ever limit how much time you play a game in a session so that every time you do play it, it feels more fun?

@Angry_Giant: I haven't used the xbox that much, only on my friend's machine. I did find it to be hard to find some things. For example, we could not figure out how to switch the controllers without shutting off the xbox. I'd have to use it more to make a better assessment.

@MrGone1980: My PS3 turns my HDTV to PS3 input as well. Do you have a Sony TV? I figured it was because of Bravia Sync. Does it do this with all TVs?

@Maddogdw: I think Bowser is perfect for a dog.

Back in the day, you paid 25 cents to play a game that costs thousands of dollars (for the cabinet). Now they are charging 50 cents for a game that costs $3.
