@supercrap: I'm with you on this. Inflation makes sense if you are talking about still having to maintain aging cabinets, but paying 50 cents for a single emulated attempt is absurd.

@machineiv: Thanks for responding! I hope you do get an invite. I'll look for it in the schedule.

I hope they do that panel at PAX West this year!

@Cloral: The publishers are only responsible for the initial sale.

@Slatz_Grobnik: I've heard them make the point multiple times that the used games are "exactly the same" as new ones. I'm guessing that this is what they are told to say.

@Zippi: I hope that you maintain that same thoughtful expression as well.

@geiko: What I said in my original post is that those types of articles are interpreted by the mainstream to be characteristic if immature males. Your response seems to be saying that it’s not deserved, but I don’t think whether it’s deserved is relevant to how the mainstream will interpret things.

@geiko: I think you're confusing my discussion of mainstream perceptions with my personal opinions.

@Vidikron: There's no question that movie websites exist that cater to the those interests. However, in a general google search, I see things like Roger Ebert, IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. These are the mainstream when it comes to movies. They cover all genres for a huge range of demographics.

@vanillakokakola: I finished Heavy Rain in less than a week, and I'm usually pretty slow at playing through games. I think that would be a good candidate for renting.

@Syptel: cool story. I'm always fascinated by those surreal experiences on the borders of sleep.

@Vidikron: Which movie websites are you referring to?

Wow NBC is so out of touch.

@badasscat: A joystick could have force feedback, although that seems pretty unlikely in a portable.

@Tyrunn: The ending was seriously horrible. They could have at least had some good loot after killing the monster, though the worst part was that it just didn't make any sense.

All I want is a virtual console so I can play the classics on the go.

Some people blame Apple for having a lot of shovelware...

"Watching ABC's 'Wipeout' on TV is outrageous fun, and viewers can't help but dream of trying the obstacles themselves,"

Coming up with names for the pokemon is one of my favorite parts of the game. I will use human names, inanimate objects, real animals, random characters, you name it. My favorite names are really random and absurd.
