I've reamed my kids for approaching ANY dog without specifically asking first, and if told "no" to say thank you and move on. I'd be mortified if my kid ignored the owner of a freaking SERVICE DOG and continued to pet it. Holy crap.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss.

she seems game, probably because she knows she can't get anything better

The movie could have saved the horrible books. But based the Jezebel review (which was FABULOUS, so thank you, ladies!) and my sister texting me 5 minutes in to say how horrible Jamie Dornan's performance was, there didn't seem like STJ had an opportunity to make this better since EL James wanted her shit dialog, shit

She's 100% the best part of it. Dornan, who I have ardently loved since The Fall, clearly just did not want to be there. The entire movie. Not an effort was made.

I don't know about Dakota not getting anything better— based on all the reviews I've seen, she's viewed as the best part of the film. Critics praised her performance far more than they did Dornan's.

This is probably just a gag. Sometimes these things get tied up. I'm sure the studio will whip it into shape.

Yeah, I think it's a pretty big stretch to call these folks "fans".

I agree with your sentiment that there is not nearly enough independent research on the subject of GMOs. That being said, I can't deny the good they've done either, so I'm waffle-y on the topic.

why the fuck would you even show me that vintage Chanel belt right before I go on vacation? Like, I know I can't afford it, you know I can't afford it, but now my vacation is ruined because I don't fucking have it and everything hurts.

So proud that we have someone who is both a doctor and a judge on staff.

This actually fits the MRA narrative better than the pro-life narrative, particularly with the rest of the content of the site that you listed.

See, that feminist was doing it wrong. Personally, I'm excited to have my own personal white man that I can corrupt with all my social justice warrior evil. Baby sleeper agent!

But there's a difference between being a less-than-ideal use of resources and a sham. A sham is a lie. A sham is telling people you're doing something and actually doing something else. Here they're telling people they're doing something (trying to raise awareness) and doing that exact thing. Like I said, I agree

I'm not really sure how this is a sham. They say their goal is to raise awareness. They're doing that. So, like... it sounds like they're doing exactly what they say they want to do. Is it not really doing enough? Sure. It would be much better if they were an actual direct-action charity that, say, funded women's

Do you not understand how these things work? It's a nonprofit thing. The organization is registered as an entity, and their product is a message. When people ~buy~ the product (message), it's not as measurable as when people exchange money for goods. The branding of this message is, as explained here, relatively
