I wouldn't say that they're negligible, per se, but I agree with you that it's not fundamentally imbalanced. The biggest differential for me is in the abilities that higher level players have unlocked. At level 5, you don't have nearly as much to work with in terms of special attacks/moves/grenades/etc. I don't

Good to know. If you'll excuse me, I have some prime real estate in Sector 7 that I need to put on the market.

Well, I don't think it's a coincidence at all, but I don't think it's because the weapons and armor aren't equalized. Someone who's level 25 or 26 has played this game significantly more than someone at level 14, and as such likely has a better handle on the mechanics. That's to be expected.

Good to know. I wonder if the Crucible monitors your activity at all. Theoretically, you could join a match, turn your TV off, and just let it run overnight. You'd get auto-respawned into each new round, and would probably get at least a few engrams through sheer luck. Not that I'm suggesting anyone should ever do

You will pry my PvP hand cannon from my cold, dead hands. Which probably won't take long because I'm using a hand cannon in the Crucible, but I DON'T CARE.

Can you elaborate on why you think the PvP is imbalanced? Even if I haven't been #1, I still have fun mixing it up with players that are 10+ levels above me and arguably have way better gear. I haven't felt like it's totally lopsided.

Got it. Are the PvP rewards just totally random? I have never been able to find a logic as to who gets stuff at the end of each match. I wouldn't be too upset about that since frankly I am not good enough to consistently dominate, but it does suck when you have a good match and the guy in last place gets an awesome

It hasn't been that bad for me, thankfully. Still, there's always that moment of panic when you charge into a public event, guns blazing, ready to take out some Fallen! Right guys?!

DO WANT.

How long did it take you to get to Cryptarch level 5? I'm not grinding like crazy and still have a ways to go in terms of the story, but I'm only at level 1 and it seems to go up incredibly slowly. Just wondering what level/how far you are to have gotten to that Cryptarch level.

It's an interesting look at ISIS's PR and marketing, but I think the last two lines that you quote take it a bit far. If I had to answer Kang's rhetorical question, I'd say, "probably not many." At the very least, those who might be recruited to ISIS would likely have other reasons for joining beyond "I want to play

And praise the sun for that.

If you were actually curious and not just concern trolling, you could read the article, which very explicitly states that Stephen was informed about the bomb threat last week while investigating some of Sarkeesian's other claims. But I understand that it's much more fun to ignore facts and to suggest that it's part of

I'm pretty sure her head would explode if you told her that gay people play video games, given all the gender essentialist nonsense she spews.

It would be funny if I weren't so sure that's exactly how this piece came about.

The "facts" and "research" she cites are woefully inadequate for the sweeping claims she makes. Please read Eight-Bit Hero's write-up about the video before taking it at face value.

A pleasure!

Hahahaha real facts and research. That's a good one. Thanks for that.

"These games weren't made for you, so how dare you have an opinion about them?!"

If she were actually making a coherent argument here, there might be something to refute. As it is, it's a bunch of assurances that she's read "the literature" and a line or two taken from a very narrow study. You'll notice she never actually addresses the question of "are video games sexist?" but instead meanders
