This is basically the entire reason the FDA was created. A 5 lb sack of flour used to contain at least a pound of gypsum and that wasn’t the worst of it. Milk used formaldehyde as a preservative and meat used Borax.

You can only burn so much money until you get cold. I don’t think Johnny Depp ever had criminal charges against him, though, and I doubt any behavior clause included civil issues, even if he were found liable.

Maybe Marvel can use this as a good excuse to take some time and rethink some of their strategies for the future. I’m not as big a naysayer as some people when it comes to the MCU - I really liked ‘The Marvels’, for example - but it’s very clearly been a rocky road for the last year or two. Take the opportunity to say

Kang sees the Time Knife.

Ooh, I can second the casting of Nathan Lane.

No mention of how Edward Norton was replaced by Mark Ruffalo?  Seems like a far bigger recasting than the other two mentioned.

There’s got to be a way they can rework it so Gugu Mbatha-Raw can become the new Kang. She’s a great actress, and the end of Loki 2 was 95% of the way there.

You people are all my favorites. Keep carrying that torch.

The beauty of this is anyone can be Kang.

Cast Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Kang. It seemed they were leading into her being a Kang variant with the Loki S2 plotline anyway.

I got a Community notification for this?!

I don’t understand this at all. If you don’t like the dish being offered, order something else. If you want chicken or mushrooms, order a dish with chicken or mushrooms in it. Why would you insist on ordering something but demand they change the entire recipe?

I don’t think they even need to. They can, if they choose, pivot to either their already established Kingpin, or bring in Dr. Doom. I know they were planning this next phase around Kang, but Loki did a nice job wrapping that story (if they so choose), so there’s really not much of a need to continue with the

The question is why are KotFM and Napoleon considered successes versus the Marvels. Similar budgets et al.

I’ll send my aunt over. She’ll annoy the shit out of you.

Those directors need to sit down and take a long drink of “Get the fuck over yourself”. I am so sick of the current trend for primadonna directors who get all arty about their supposed vision. They ain’t that deep, bro.

Intermissions sound good—I think there should be options: screenings with and without intermissions. Cinephiles can choose the pricier non-intermission version of the film while the rest of us gladly sip our sodas and cram handfulls of popcorn into out mouths because we know we’ll get 15 minutes to pee soon.

Obviously COVID had some effect, but it seems crazy that Aquaman made $1 billion, and then DC Warner Bros. somehow decide it was a good idea to do a bunch of other shit before making a sequel. If you loved Aquaman when you were 10, you’re 15 now, and have probably moved on to other things.

‘A Kylo for Christmas’, coming to Hallmark this December.
