One of my colleagues just returned from fishing in Alaska, where it was mid-60s all week. Lots of AK national parks instead of visiting the Southwest! (Although they also have their own long list of “Be Prepared” requirements.)

Why wouldn’t she have all her partners sign an NDA though?  It was so effective I had no idea she’d had such a long relationship.  Which is kind of amazing because I would think dealing with her world would be just exhausting after 2 days.

I missed the last 15 minutes of the last episode of the (heavily serialized) show “Nowhere Man” when my stepdad unplugged the TV to force me to wash the dishes. It was like 10 years before I saw the resolution, since it was cancelled with no summer reruns.

I kind of liked Lightyear (keeping in mind I watched it while home sick on a Thursday afternoon- probably while multi-tasking), but I agree it didn’t feel at all akin to Toy Story or its world. It was kind of this lonely story of regret and fruitless attempts to stifle acceptance of what life throws at you.

Well, the hazmat clean-up they likely aren’t doing is one small place to start. BLM lands are public lands, so permit fees compensate taxpayers for 1) commercial filming and 2) staff time required to ensure safety & environmental compliance, etc. Also, as soon as something goes wrong, then there are all sorts of costs…
