I don’t think I could ever respect someone who willingly get’s called “Scooter”

If my local grocery had the efficiency of Trader Joe’s checkout, I wouldn’t use self-checkout. But I always, always use the local’s self-checkout. I shop a few times a week for small amounts of things (mostly produce) so it’s just faster for me. Plus I always prefer to bag my own groceries because half of the

... but enough about my sex life.

I don’t mind trader joe’s not having self checkout as they actually have a person for each register usually but I do have an issue with not listing products on the site even if it doesn’t have a dynamic stock tracker. it would also be nice just to be able to easily see what other locations have that are not available

In order to do self check right, it actually needs a lot of space, something TJ’s stores don’t have. Walmart actually has the best self check machines, and they actually give you a counter to put your stuff before you scan it, and an ample bagging counter too, plus they generally have most or all of their machines

She didn’t deserve the Oscar that year, but that’s besides the point. She is not under any obligation to return the award, which she won for her portrayal of a character based on a real life person. What we’ve learned about Leigh Anne Tuohy and the story is irrelevant.

Least surprising line in the review: “Lopez overplays Uncle Rudy’s conspiracy theorist old-school tech geek for all the laughs that he can eke out of it.”

And there was a ‘professional’ whose responsibility was specifically to make sure the gun wouldn’t hurt anyone.

Exactly. I’d already assumed it was the case that he pulled the trigger, either accidentally without realizing or as part of the rehearsal process. The prosecution on this case is a shitshow.

Pardon my cheese steak?

Why exactly would he get charged regardless of if he pulled the trigger or not?

He just doesn’t have that cult-leader charisma that Trump’s been cultivating for the past few decades. Trump is deeply vain and weird, but people are so used to it that it’s become part of the whole shuck-and-jive that is his brand. DeeeeSantis is also vain and weird but more in an off-putting Ted Cruz kind of way.

I’m a lawyer getting ready to defend our client in an upcoming trial. Having read DeSantis’s statement, I am inspired. I am going to stop preparing for trial right now and just call up the plaintiff’s lawyer and say, “Hey, we’ve moved on, why don’t you drop your lawsuit?” I will report back on how it goes.

The piece he’s missing is that Trump’s whole thing is mostly impotent shit-talking and occasional nuisance suits. He doesn’t generally have the attention span for messy and protracted procedural fights over policy and regulation. DeSantis tried the same thing by feuding with one of his state’s largest corporate employe

Yeah unfortunately I don’t see how reality TV stars could ever have the leverage to get union protection. They devalue the labor of other union members, so they wouldn’t ever stand for them, and by its very nature a reality show star can be more easily replaced by someone off the street, because that’s where they

Yeah that’s insane. This is the first I read of that part of the argument.

So he’s a full on liar (this time through proxies) in addition to being an anti-vaxxer, conspiracy theorist, and anti-semite?  Not much of a leap I suppose.

You’re certainly entitled to your own stupid opinion.

I think Last Voyage of the Demeter would’ve done better if it featured Frankenstein instead of Dracula. Just imagine 90 hilarious minutes of Frankenstein constantly falling down because the ship is wet and always moving and he’s not that great at walking.
