The Holden badged SS’s, G8's, and GTO’s are fine because that’s what they actually are. It’s not like they’re misrepresenting the origins or capabilities. And the exception to the AMG thing is the AMG monoblock wheels. Almost ALL Mercedes look better with monoblocks.

I’d add Holden-badged SSs (even G8s). BMW Ms in the same vein as the AMG thing.

Lifted trucks should be banned too, IMO. But you cannot sit there and honestly say that those arejust as unsafe” (emphasis mine). The angle is going to have you tilting back in your seat and there’s more hood that you have to look over. I don’t even know how you can see the road at all over the hood, much less

Fairly unlikely. Model 3s have gone 300k on the original battery. And you can check the battery health through the software. Plus, it’s still under warranty until 100k miles. I’d be more worried that the suspension and interior are worn to shreds.

I guess it’s fine on backroads, but I could never be that guy in traffic that everyone looks at and just rolls their eyes.  I’m just trying to get home from work man, I don’t want to hear that shit. (same goes for loud motorcycles, bass pounding sound systems, etc)

My neighbor builds hot rods in his garage. I respect that, even if they are not my cup of tea. Fabricates frames himself. Buys the engines out of junkyards and rebuilds them himself too. At 78yo. I want to be him someday, even if I will be working on olde Euro crockes rather than American ones.

Hey, cheap Mercs and Jags and Land Rovers would like you to know that they’re in that race as well!

It’s kind of honest really, Acuras were sold as Hondas everywhere else in the world except North America with very, very rare exceptions. I always felt that badging them as Acura was fake.

Splitting an exhaust after the cat to two mufflers for aesthetics is just stupid.

The best part is that most of the time they are completely spotless too. Not a spec of dirt on them.

I’ll make a very gross, generally sweeping statement. Most vehicles that have been modified by what amounts to adult children- people who are either immature or never really grew up, applied themselves, got an education etc usually means they also create monstrosities of the worst possible taste.

A: The ugly-ass hot

The Carolina Squat. It was made illegal for a reason.

I saw the ultimate version of this a couple years ago. It was clearly a Mx-5 Miata, rebadged as, and I shit you not a fucking Ferrari. Ferrari badge on the trunk, Scuderia shields on the fenders and wheel center caps. Badged as a V12 F112, had to have been straight piped because it was loud, and you could tell it was

I feel like we had the PIAA fog light trend of Y2k, had a slight break, then went right to blinding LED light bars. Common ground being that they are usually on when they have no reason to be and aimed to track the moon.

LED light bars that blind everyone

The fads that are the worst are those that put other people in danger: Bro Trucks with huge lifts, stanced cars with enough camber to seriously affect grip, tinted windshields... basically anything that negatively interferes with visibility, handling, or braking. Everything else; knock yourself out. It’s your money.

That’s a common factory thing too.

Fart can exhausts or any exhaust that makes you proud of your car exhaust sounding like gun shots.

Non functional extra exhaust pipes. All you are doing is paying to add extra weight to your car.

Slammed/stanced to the point where the camber is at 45 degrees. It is both incredibly dangerous and crazy expensive:
